Tough game ahead. Heads and tendons/ligaments will need to be in the right place for this one.

And a rare Saturday 3 pm KO sighted. It's a Christmas miracle.

This is the team I want too, but I have this feeling Ange will think that midfield looks a little light without Biss or Bents available to mop up.

Wouldn’t surprise me if GLC gave way for Hojbjerg.
Don’t think GLC will be fit anyway but yea tbh putting PEH there behind Kulu and Sarr would likely give us better balance especially against a fairly physical side in Everton.

Just watched their goals against Burnley. It's going to be a similar game to last night where they will stay nice and compact and then look to profit from set pieces. We struggled with those against Forest and Everton will be better at it.

Don’t want to see Sarr in the 6 role. Don’t think his attributes suit the position that well and more importantly we lose his key attributes which is hunting space and eating up ground. We need to release him not anchor him down in the pivot.

Kulu and Sarr should be the 10 and 8 and then it’s either GLC or PEH as the 6 for me. Think with Everton’s physicality Ange will go for PEH. Also gives us more attacking options to bring off the bench should we need them.

Think it will be

Vic
Porro Romero Davies Royal
Sarr PEH Kulu
Johnson Richarlison Son

Everton is a team with giants. Wouldn't be surprised if dier starts this one

I thought that but I think Ange will be thinking about what we can do to them if we dominate them rather than adapting to their strengths.

I think he'll weigh it up and say he'd rather go with a Davies who is shorter, but has built up a relationship with Romero, has played extremely well recently and maintains a fluidity in passing from the back, over a Dier who is tall, but has hardly played and is a liability in many other ways anyway.

Yves role half the time seems to be the simple pass so replace him with GLC if fit and play Sarr and Kulu in the same roles. Let’s hope Dacoure gets yellow on Tuesday night

My thoughts on Biss being out while Bents is injured.

May a thousand diseased maggots gnaw on Matty Cash's genitals for a thousand years.

Lo Celso at #6 is an interesting one. He's fairly tidy and press-resistant. However, he's hugely one footed and I worry he'll get pinned in that position as he can only turn one way.

Sarr at 8 for sure. His athleticism is key.

Yellow card bans are competition specific now I believe. Whereas Red cards are not. New rule for this year I think. So a yellow for Doucore on Tuesday wouldn’t rule him out of our game.

What a crazy rule that is, mental.

Should be all or nothing in terms of card bans across competitions.

Didnt realise Everton had their quarter final on Tuesday. Theyll surely go full strength, that gives us an edge for Saturday.

Vicario
Porro Romero Davies Emerson
Sarr Lo Celso
Kulu
Johnson Richarlison Son

My thought process is that, we're better off trying to attack and then consolidating with Hojbjerg rather than trying to up the attacking ante late on.

A rare Saturday 3pm kick off and a game not on tv for once hopefully will mean a good atmosphere. This game is going to be very tough given our absentees and Everton’s run of form plus the danger of set pieces - their team are monsters up against our pretty small side height wise.

Vicario
Porro Romero Davies Royal
Sarr PEH
Johnson Kulu Son

if liverpool can get away with playing mac allister as a 6 then no reason we can't with lo celso.

assuming lo celso is actually fit that is, which with his record ...
