I would be confident with that team. If lennon is out then I fear we are f*cked.

If Lennon doesn't make it I would reluctantly go with the above. No width, but a lot of skill in that midfield. Would rely on Walker and BAE getting forward a lot.

Now QPR are doomed perhaps they will cut their losses and send Townsend back?
We should also employ 'Arry to have a 1 to 1 with Ade before each game to get him to do what he did last season.

If Lennon can't play then surely Ceballos will get a run. Promote a youngster and just tell him to go out and have some fun and see what happens. Siggy on the left, Ade up front and Ceballos on the right. Holtby, Parker and Dembele as our core 3. Surely we could get a result with that.

All I know is we must promote from the youth team. We cannot afford to have a winger on the right who likes to cut in - Baines will have a field day. We have to find a way to pin him back or we're toast. Don't care who gets promoted as long as he's quick and likes to get on the outside

Lloris
Walker-Dawson-Vertonghen-BAE
Parker-Dembele
Youth Player-Holtby-Sigurdsson
Adebayor

Dempsey and Hudd should not be considered for starting spots

Lloris
Walker - Dawson - SuperJan - Benny
Livermore - Dembele
Gylfi - Holtby - Dempsey
Ade
People say put in a youth player instead of Dempsey is silly. Livermore can come in for Parker, who's looked a mixture of exhausted and fucking disasterous lately like Brum if he was in the process of coming down from amphetamines. Speaking of speed, Baines on the left is obviously a trouble but in Walker we've got pace to cover as well as two more than capable central defenders to stop Osman/Fellaini/etc.

Fellaini is suspended. So is Pienaar. Both teams will be missing their most important players in this game. We need the likes of Sigg and Holtby to put in big performances. COYS

Was a shame Routledge got injured,
I see no reason to risk playing a kid like Lennon though,
we got proven guys like Michael Brown and Sean Davis who can play wide right and tuck in

I would have both Ceballos and McEvoy in the squad, especially if Lennon is out. McEvoy especially will give us some pace and I have been really impressed with him in recent under 21 games, besides he is our mini Bale! Walker will give some pace up front, but fear he is going to be to occupied with Baines to be venturing too far forward.

If Lennon is out as well as Bale then I'm really not sure where the width is going to come from. Our squad suddenly looks paper thin and I just don't see where we're going to create anything.

Nevertheless...

Lloris
Walker Dawson Vertonghen Ekotto
Parker Dembele
Siggy Holtby Dempsey
Adebayor

*sigh*

Trying to work with what we have here. We have a lot of decent central defenders, we have a lot of decent central midfielders, we have two quick attacking full backs and we have two guys who scored last night. We don't have people who are proven as being good out wide, so no point in trying to force it. We also have kids, a couple of them on the bench would probably be useful.
Or we could just tell our good players to man up, stop fannying around and play through the pain so that we can put out:
Lloris
Walker Kaboul Vertonghen Ekotto
Sandro Dembele
Lennon Bale Siggy
Adebayor

Or we could just play a team of our favourite smileys, mine would be:

On the plus, Ade was handy I thought. Made some good runs too that werent picked up. Perhaps without bale players well have to look for him more.

Our home crowd can fuck right off though with the treatment he got tonight.

The problem is his runs leave us with no striker in the box. Says a lot he only had one shot last night. It would be okay if we had another striker playing with him but I feel his runs limit our penetration. The top quality strikers would make something work in the limited space in the middle rather than constantly pulling out wide.

I'm pretty sure that we do have another registered right winger in our squad...

Walker Dawson Vertonghern Ekotto

Adebayor
That's right, you heard me correctly. Whilst it is partly in jest, I don't think he'd do any worse than anyone else we could put there as long as he was told that his prime objective was to get balls into the middle rather than try and do everything himself. Most of the time when Bentley played with us he had Defoe, Keane or Crouch (the least effective big man with his head maybe ever) as targets. For a weird reason I think Bentley might be able to spark something in Adebayor.
OK, do your worst.
