We have enough players that almost none of those involved on Sunday will need to play tonight. Therefore nobody in the team tonight should have any eye on anything other than Shamrock Rovers.

Yes it's a daft competition but it's a great experience for our youngsters and as has been said they should be using it as a springboard to getting into the first team.

The only thing I disagree with abotu your post.

It is a major European competition watched by millions across europe and around the world. Ok so it is not as big as the CL, but it is just as important.

The EUFA cup is a big big competition and is certainly not just about us giving the youngsters a run. I will be so fucking pissed off if we don't win this competition as we have a great chance of winning this, big time.

If are going to maintain a regular postion in the CL, then we as a team are just going to have to used to to playing in Europe and managing the team accordingly and the players getting used to more and more games.

I meant that it's daft in the way it's set up. There's 400 qualifying rounds and the Champions League drop outs come back into the competition at two separate stages. It really is a daft competition.

Sadly as a result of this it simply isn't 'a big big competition' anymore even though it really should be. The fact is that if we win it, although that would be a great achievement, it wouldn't be recognised as such by the footballing world.

It's a shame and it shouldn't be the case, but that is the reality.

We really should be making a pretty major effort to win this thing.

I've been reasonably pleased with the teams we've put out so far and assume Harry is looking to win home games to get us through, but the moment it starts to become a knockout comp we need to be thinking seriously about playing more and more of the first team to ensure we win games.

I'd be surprised if that wasn't the exact plan. Frankly our reserves should be good enough to get us out of the group and we'll then be able to guage the importance of the tournament against where we are in the league.

I'd actually be excited to see how that went although I'd rather have Rose at LB and an actual RB at RB. Townsend is right footed though isn't he? I'd just like Rose to get as much game time at LB in case BAE picks up an injury.

This is going to be as one sided as gang rape.

This statement is far too vague, yes gang rape maybe one side if there are 7 of you against 1 (like in the case of snow white and the 7 dwarves, disney weren't so quick to share that part of the story eh?), but if there are 3 of you and the other person is Papa Bouba Diop, it could end in tears for you.

Failed gang-rape is not a one-sided affair, and not gang-rape. Successful gang-rape is eventually a one-sided affair, regardless of the struggle.

If Pav plays tonight and gives us the same level of performances that he has given this season.........................he must never wear our shirt again.
