Tromso likely to rest some players, due to relegation fears and a small squad.
Two of their midfield regulars are Thomas Kind Bendiksen who didn't make it at Rangers (when they were top flight),
and Josh Pritchard a 20 year old Fulham reserve. Both Fryers and Dawkins will handle this level fine.

Think too many believe that playing first teamers is going to sap them for the weekends fixture - truth is, we are going to dick all over Tromso and play at exactly the pace we want to play.

Of course, you want some rotation to a degree to get other players to match fitness but with a lot of squad upheaval and team cohesiveness still at an early stage, it's probably more beneficial to keep the mainstays in the side to build up a rapport in a game we'll dominate possession and hopefully knock in plenty of goals ala Tblisi without too much exertion.

Would like to see Defoe, Holtby, Lamela, Sandro and Kaboul start and get proper run-outs. Pretty sure Lennon will also get a game.

If we don't seriously underestimate Tromsø we'll win very comfortably.

Let's get in a good position first - season is still in its infancy and no need to have wholesale changes, ie plaing a B side in Europe just yet.

We've trimmed the squad, but more importantly we've improved it. AVB will definitely use the squad.

Anyway, I expect Holtby to play in the number ten role. Dembele will probably get 60 minutes with Paulinho finishing the job.
