Calm your tits everyone, we still have 90 minutes of football to get through. Lets save all the spiteful comments until the end. :)

Difference between spiteful and frustration - i think most are just utterly baffled and frustrated over the goalkeeping issue.

Have to say my heart sank when I saw Lloris wasn't starting- AVB you really need to start him and play Friedel in the cups

I hope we blitz them and don't give them time on the ball.
We always come out quick...get a goal and then stroll around like fools thinking the game is won and then concende etc. etc.

This really is a very frustrating team to support.

I love it. We all knew this was the inevitable line-up but we let ourselves dream :/ AVB rotates less than 'Arry.

Here's the thing, most people think Vertonghen's a better option than Dawson (me included), and AVB did not hesitate to bring Vertonghen in and drop Dawson. For Dawson though, read Friedel, for Vertonghen, read Lloris. Except Lloris has achieved far more in his career than Vertonghen ever has, Dawson's in his prime, Freidel's in his last season.

People say it's about introducing a new player to our league slowly, they say it's about supporting the old-guard, about man-management, rather than about a strict quality difference, they say, yes Lloris may be a far superior keeper to Friedel, but Friedel was the incumbent and you cant drop him when he's done nothing wrong. They say this is AVB's reasoning. So why one approach for Friedel/Lloris, and another approach for Vertonghen/Dawson?

Its actually far more simple than that,, he won't start Dawson because due to his lack of pace he does not fit his system, yet we have a goalkeeper who fits the sweeper keeper role in the system and he won't start him.. plain ridiculous..

I don't understand everyone's reaction to keeping Friedel in goal, I don't think he has made mistakes that warrant for him to be dropped.

Lloris will get his chance the season is only 9 games old so theres more then enough time to settle. At the mo we are bedding two new players into our defence - changing keepers won't help at all.

Look at ferguson he spent 19 odd million on de gea and he is being rotated.

AVB knows what he is doing have a little faith. Wigan are usually really good or really shit - let's hope the shit team turns up today.

I can see goals today cos they wont come to park the bus.

I am sure Lloris knows whats going on, it probably looks worse than it actually is.

I really hope that's the case but I just can't see how he'd be cool with it. He's genuinely one of the very top keepers on the planet and has our uncle in front of him...madness.

I personally haven't seen our keepers in training. It is therefore possible that brad is working hard and deserves his place. Perhaps the many of you that are at training could let us know your thoughts?

No? Avb not here?

This really is taking the piss now. How many points do we have to lose before we play our best keeper! Like all our previous managers of late he will realise, hopefully sooner than later, that Defoe horribly restricts our team, please give ade Ade a game for ffs.

Maybe the guy is clueless after all, I am starting to wonder.

Except Vertonghen had a full preseason and Lloris came in after the season started. I'm sure if Lloris was purchased back in July he'd be starting right now. (not that he shouldn't be starting anyways but i'm just refuting your point)

Sorry, Wick3d.

I'd just like to apologize on behalf of everyone for having an opinion.

I think judging them in the real thing provides a better indication...

They say Lancaster is the hardest young trainer at the club.

Maybe he should start ahead of Defoe and Ade?

There is a GULF in class between Lloris and Friedel.

AVB's handling of Lloris started well.

Its now become a joke.

Has Dempsey really done much to earn a starting spot in the team? I know sig hasn't been brilliant, but at least he has something about him. With the pair out of form it may have been an opportunity to shoehorn ade into the side if he won't drop Defoe.

Lancaster is young and working hard to get better.

in your uneducated opinion there is a gap, but then you haven't seen them training with the defenders.
