If the rumors are true, I want to place on record my thanks to Harry Redknapp..

I didn't want you when you were appointed, but with you in charge we avoided relegation, finished 4th, had a blast in the Champions League and achieved consistency in terms of our League position.

Your contribution to that, our squad strength, our style of play will be debated in a million other threads.

But for the record, you proved me wrong. I'm glad you came to our club when you did, feel proud of what was achieved when you were here and here's hoping we all move on to even better things.

Thanks. You had a twitch.

Chelsea signed a bright, young manager...and look how that turned out. Be careful what you wish for. :)

The thing is we never truly know what clubs have asked from their managers do we. For all we know AVB was asked to perform certain tasks and he tried but when it went wrong he was then taken to task for it instead of supported.

For all we know Harry had promised this and that to levy who in fairness stuck by him hugely this season through his heart op and the court case. So maybe Harry could be saying the grass isn't always greener as well in a few months, ie his shiny new agent and the promise of more money?

None of us know so for me it's a case of appreciating what he did for us which was a massive amount but not getting too caught up in the moment as I really believe there is more than meets the eye and Harry is a master of manipulation.

Didn't like him when he joined but he won me over, had some fantastic times with him in charge and we become a team everyone took notice of again. Last few months I lost some of that respect but appreciate where he has taken us and it will be very hard for someone to come in and either take us further or maintain our good form. Thank you Harry.

That month in April 2010 when we beat Arse, Chels then beat City, amazing. Never felt emotion like it.

Thank you Harry

When Harry was appointed I was one of not very many that was quite happy and supported it. And proceeded to defend Redknapp throughout that season and the next. Thing went wrong after that and what happened happened, but got to say thank you Harry for an amazing 4 years - playing some brilliant football and become the nation's darlings once again. It was 'triffic.

Nothing ever stand still in life and the club needed to move forward, unfortunately without Harry. I think he started to talk in a very superior manner about himself and the club and I really didn't like it.

I say unreservedly that any success a future manager has will be partly down to the foundations laid by Harry, but whatever happens it was the right time for a change.

Yeah but the end of season run ins the last 2 seasons have been like fucking horrible trips...

Not that I'd know.

More like the most severe come-downs you could ever imagine (or horrific flashbacks 10 years after you have become sensible, settled down, had kids, and went to the inlaws for Sunday lunch and become convinced that the silhouette of the spider in the window is Shelob come to suck away your vital fluids ).

The biggest compliment i can give harry is that he gave me my best times ever in football. The magic month that got us 4th by beating arse chelsea and city was unbelieveable and i was deliriously happy the day we won at city. The win vs Milan at siro plus the inter home win were amazing. Thanks for everything Harry

What did Harry win?

Why are you bothering to ask?

Harry's league record is second only to Bill Nicholson's first few full seasons. Our league performance under KB was pretty poor except for his last two seasons, and half of today's breed of supporters would have wanted him out long before he got that far. As for the cup wins, the first game against City was a horror show that we scraped through thanks to Hutchinson scoring at both ends and the following year was a double borefest against QPR. Yes, we won, but it was rather like Gooner George's league cup win; nice to have the trophy in the cabinet, but you wouldn't really want to watch the game again.

KB was a top bloke, but a pretty ordinary manager if we're honest.

I watched both of those games and agree they were very boring but at the end of the day his record shows 2 FA cup wins, 1 uefa cup win, two fourth place finishes, European cup winners cup semi finalists, league cup runners up, I think that is very decent. Personally I'd take 2 FA cup wins and a UEFA cup win over one CL appearance and one Europa cup appearance and Europa cup qualification.

Looks to me that we all agree to disagree regarding 'Arry.
Personally I enjoyed the guy's sense of humour and desire to play attractive footie and will genuinely miss him.
Enic via their spokesperson, Levy, have promised to offer so much but at the moment all I see is a training ground that, apparently, will shortly be open.
I sincerely hope that Joe Lewis's decision to can 'Arry will not come back to bite us in the arse with key players leaving thereby setting us back again another couple of years.
However I am also aware that now the decision has been taken we should all get behind the new manager and support the club that has brought us all together

feel sorry for Harry, he made us a great, 2 points from 8 games ( most easy games ) , we avoided relegation and finish 8th, then we finished 4th without much costing.
We paid less than both Liverpool & Chelsea and we finished above them.

I'll really miss his news in press each days, really miss him on the bench.

he is the best manager since i supported Spurs, I'll forget him and should be always welcome at the Lane.

I thank harry for all his Hard work. At the end of the day what he has achieved for us is commendable. However the manner in which he self capitulated was inexcusable. Right now my greater appreciation goes to Daniel Levy; who is being slated left right and centre in the press right now. He has become the most hated director in football at present; yes he did know this was going to happen but it took balls to stand up the press and do something to move us forward.
