I think he could be a really good player for us if he is given a run, my one gripe is he gives a lot of free kicks away in dangerous areas but could become a great player for us.
I'm sorry but i still think that other players could give more to the team than both JJ and ZP and my heart sinks every time i see their names on the team sheet, i'm always afraid of which one will turn up - the one that plays well or the one that does nothing.

he did give an italian style freekick away on the half way line last night which stopped us being caught on the break. not enough of our players do this.

I spotted the pass a little bit before he hit it and shouted for him to make the pass. He did. Therefore I controlled him and it was my pass.

Do you often control men? Eek

I do love Thudd. His passing is sublime. I don't think he gets anywhere near enough credit that he should from Harry.

Hudd is a pretty lazy player. Recently he's been making as many shit passes as he has good/great passes. I like him, but I think he can join the larger group of players at Spurs who appear to have gone backwards.

Honestly I have been saying this for months, but play this boy week in an out. Push him slightly further up and now as we have Palacios, who can tackle, it will Huddlestone to do so.

We have a gem of a player in our squad. One of the finest technical players in Europe.
The people that claim he is lazy, I'm not questioning you, but the fact I he has never been and never will be a defensive midfielder.

It is both frustrating and a joy to watch Huddlestone. But call a spade a spade, that pass was absolutely out of this world. I don't know if anyone has read 'White Angels' by John Carlin about the Galactico era at Real. It goes into scientific detail about a wonderful pass Beckham put on Zidane's foot. This was every bit as good, shame it wasn't Zidane out there.

Hudds pass last night was fantastic, and bale probably should have done better.

Huddlestone really impressed me last night, not just with that pass, but with his all round play, even running and powering past players, seemed the captancy really helped him lift his all round game.

As for his passes that go astray, thats often a result of the fantastic creative vision the lad has compared to those around him.

The thing is, when THUDD is in midfield, in the premier league, he is not afforded nearly enough space to make those kind of passes on a regular basis.

Last night, sitting deep in defence, THUDD was able to control/dictate the play from the back. When we were in posession of the ball, it was obvious that we were trying to get the ball to him as often as possible, in a pressure free situation, so that he could survey the scene, weigh up his options and try to open up the opposition or create some space.

If only he was a strong enough defender to play in that position in the premier league.

Pity Bale didn't do much with such a great pass, maybe he was surprised to see the ball appear?

As Jol once said (I think), it's a pity we don't play with sweepers, or Hudd would be a star. But as it is, he rarely shines in the PL as a consequence of the oft-cited pace issue. Maybe we should try him some time in CM with Palacios - Hudd could be the Pirlo to Wilson's Gattuso. Or maybe he should go somewhere like Italy where he'd probably shine, as long as he takes it easy on the pasta.

It was a truly fantastic pass. But for everyone he hits that finds its target there's also an aimless punt downfield

erm, thats a bit like saying, defoes great and all but for every shot he scores, he misses two.

you really expect any player to get it right everytime?

Well done. But as a result of your excitment at the pass you controlled, you forgot to control Bale on where to put the bloody thing

 I do applogise, I was doing my nails whilst enjoying my White Hart Lane company, this multi tasking sometimes means I miss out on such things.

Hell yes, don't all women? ;-)

I did love the pass and I do think Huddlestone is a fantastic passer of the ball and tackler at times too, but he is just so slow to react so much of the time! I like him a lot though, he's a more 'obvious' Carrick.

I think he'll go in the Summer though as this bit-part, out of position role is obviously not going to suit him

But thats a clip of a Palacios tackle v Arsenal

Sorry dude, I was talking about a short clip - not the contents of said clip...

I see how you mistook that one... and how it sounded a little strange in the first place.
