if we were ever like this at home, when losing, against anyone but london clubs or united then it was before my time. it is sad because people still try to start chants in these situations and there's no take up. i really don't get why more people can't have teh attitude of our away fans when they're at the Lane

Danger.... I've had an idea.... all as part of the idea of bringing atmosphere back, why not also try to bring back old fashioned chanting. It's so easy, it used to get almost everyone in the ground involved. Just the same instinctive clapping followed by maybe a single word. It's not even singing. No need to remember any special words. No real need to be part of the in-crowd devising the songs, and it could develop almost anywhere in the crowd, almost spontaneously.

It was standard fare for regular WHL crowds of 60,000+ in the 50s and 60s when Spurs were the best supported team in the country so we shouldn't turn our noses up at it just because it's gone out of fashion a bit.

You still get it occasionally, especially at those cup games with minnows where nobody knows what else to sing, you know say any PL team away to say Bognor Wednesday... it goes "da da dadada dadadada Bog-Nor" where each da is a clap. "da da dadada dadadada Tot-Num"

I wonder if the 1882 was to include this in its repertoire what would be the effect?

Just a thought....

Still plenty of tickets left in block 35. Looking forward to it.

Ouch never seen WHL look so empty! Could be looking like a 15k attendance!

I just booked my tickets in park lane for Hull, 1882 will be there too ;) Looking forward to seeing them up in the heavens (block J) going mental

Still plenty of time and at £20 everyone's a winner.

Do you guys do away games?
Can't speak for Flav, but I think the idea is that 1882 games are accessible to as many people as possible. They tend to be cup or youth games because the tickets are a lot cheaper than league games. For instance, tickets for Hull and Sheriff are a combined £40, whereas you'll pay at least that for an away fixture in the league. Plus the away system is often loyalty point dependent, which sometimes closes the doors to people who can't afford any longer to go to PL games regularly (as is often the case with 1882 attendees).

Pretty much as has been said above, but no we don't because it completely neutralizes the whole point of 1882. Away league/cup seats are randomly allocated, so we couldn't all sit together.

We do do away youth games though, where you can just turn up. These are definitely the best type of game! Charlton and Arsenal were both amazing. Really hoping we can get another similar away day this season.

After AVB's comments, maybe it's time for more of us regular fans to put pressure on the club to work harder with 1882?
