Why are spurs fans becoming so negative and whiney. I understad we're in a relegation dogfight, and we *might* not make it, but the excess negativity on these boards is getting a little too depressing. The more we whine and complain, the more depressed we will all feel. Lets take a breather and relax and think of the good times? Its not going to be the end of the world!!!

:hello:

Of course! We're going to win the premiership and next season the champions league.

Away from LaLa land this a Spurs Board, we are Spurs fans and Spurs are now in deep shite. Bitching here does not affect the team - but is quite in order.

People who want 'Happy Sam' might perhaps just smoke a little boo and stop posting :bs:

Its called being human and that means being different and with that comes the right to feel, do, say, act and on forums type what you want whenever the mood takes you, so I guess with recent results and the tricky transfer window it shows as being negative and whiney in some people's posts.

Hope that helps

trouble is it's really over the top negativity, it doesn't matter what the players do they get slated. Yesterday barring a horrible miss we actually played quite well, which if your cup is half full is pretty good stuff. From reading the majority of posts on here though, that's made no impression at all, the players are still shite and should be taken out back and shot, the manager doesn't know what he's doing, it's all comollis fault blah blah blah. There just needs to be a wee bit of perspective.

All im saying is that if you concentrate on the negatives in life you're not going to get far. Everyone knows we're in utter shite and in big trouble. You dont have to be a genius to figure it out. But that doesnt mean you dwell on it and get depressed about it - thats all im saying. In life, shit happens. People need to learn to deal with it and not whine/moan/complain/blame.

All i am saying is, keep the spirits up and try not to get stuck in the vicious cycle of the "captivity of negativity"!

Nice thread title.

There is a certain school of thought/brigade who believe 'there are no such thing as problems - only opportunities'.

Out in the real world there are such a thing as 'problems'. In my experience the sooner one recognizes/acknowledges problems, the sooner one can square up to them and deal with/resolve them!

Maybe you should think 'dialectic' - rather than happy Sam business talk. Maybe one would get progress on that basis?

Yesterday barring a horrible miss we actually played quite well

Two horrible misses (everyone forgets Defoe's easier chance) and quite a few bad misses too!

You're right though, we played very well. We were sloppy up front and at the back (how we weren't 3-0 down at half-time I don't know) but in terms of effort we were spot on. A total transformation from the Wigan match. If harry played Bent/Pav up front from now on and uses a 4-4-2 we'll be fine.
