AB what is it you disagree with, Rafa. Why?

I don't think Rafa is perfect and after Internazionale I think he's a bit of a snake oil salesman. I don't think he can cope with his best players being sold out from under him by Levy and I think he has a better job at Napoli than he would have at Spurs.

Just to confirm guys

However (this is regarding sandro below)

Yeah, his agent was saying (here) that Sao Paulo is interested in bringing him in.....i think

I ran one of the articles through a translator and it said the following
"He (Sherwood) will leave at the end of the season. Then, new coach, new everything," says the steering wheel ESPN.com.br .

Now i'm no linguist and i'm no scientist....but i have no idea why ESPN would interview a steering wheel.

So there is a chance that some of the context of the article may have been lost.

Sandro says Sherwood's going, but then his agent says Sandro could leave too? Where are those quotes originally from? (Not twitter, I mean the actual articles/interviews).

I agree De Boer looks like he could be the real deal but being at Ajax has helped him a hell of a lot, they have developed top players for decades and havent had to rely on transfer budgets. As for not being a mercenary, that hs yet to be seen, his ambition is quite clear. He is obviously going to be loyal to Ajax, being there over 10 years as a player and from what we have seen of Verts and Eriksen they both love the club.

Being a winner as a player doesn't do much for me when it comes to being a good manager, yes you will have players respect but doesn't mean that translates into good managerial skills, Keane and Hughes say hi, and they learnt from the best club manager of our time. Also Ajax performances outside of Hollland are poor.

Im not saying I am against him just that all our candates have pros and cons its up to Levy to weigh up the risk.

I was also counting 4 straight league titles for the first time in their history. I know it's Ajax but other managers have done a lot worse there.

Some of their performances have been poor but some have been very good.

Drew with Milan
Drew with Man City
Beat Man Utd
Drew with Lyon
Beat Dinamo Zagreb

I know the below were at home but was outside the dutch league (which I think is what you meant).

Beat Barcelona despite only having 10 men for 40 odd mins.
Beat Man City
Beat Dinamo Zagreb
Drew with Lyon
Beat Steau
Beat Celtic Home

In fact if you look at their loses, it's only the home and away against Salzburg, Away to Celtic and away to Steau (who also beat Chelsea at home in the next round with Benitez in charge) that aren't loses you would expect and that we wouldn't fair any better with our superior players.

Lost to Real Madrid Home and Away (twice)
Lost to Man Utd Home
Lost to Dortmund Home and Away (the year they made the final)
Lost to Steau Away
Lost to Celtic Away
Lost to Barcelona Away
Lost to Salzburg Home and Away

Also, look at the difference in quality of the players in the line ups against the top tier teams they played (in matches they won and lost) and you see the difference is immense.

Do we need Lallana? He'll be competing with Chadli and Lamela for game time (maybe Eriksen as well) and we still have Townsend as back up. I would fucking love to have him as an option but....money could maybe be better spent elsewhere?
We need two new wing forwards this summer IMO, but I'm not sure that's the position Lallana excels at...

Had a quick read through this and afraid I can't be bothered to do a direct translation right now as I'm off for dinner in a bit, but it basically says that Sao Paulo are thinking of making an offer for Sandro, but they won't have close to the right amount of money, so it is more likely a link that they have leaked to boost their profile when looking for new players. Bit like what we did when we wanted to 'sign' Aguero that time.
There was some talk here (I'm in Sao Paulo at the moment) about Paulinho moving on as well this summer, but again the Brazilian press are usually the last to know anything firm from Europe.
