Kicks off tonight. I think it will be a half decent game (Blackburn v Cardiff). I am looking forward to seeing what Brentford and Watford can do this season. Should be an exciting season.

Ive never been this excited to watch a championship game before, purely because it's the first sign of the season starting again and I think Blackburn v Cardiff is a great game to kick off with.

I read somewhere that The Championship is the fourth biggest league in Europe by match attendance. That's quite impressive.

Its got some huge teams, the midland and yorkshire teams could fill a bigger stadium if they got PL footy but they average around 27k for the season in the championship

Best of luck to Brentford today. They've had to wait a while...

It's testament to how well our Lower League teams support is. No country in the world compares to England's lower league structure.

Watford Bolton will have my attention today. Be interesting to see how the next load of loan signings will do. Vydra coming back could be massive for them, Dyer is a decent player and Heurlho could be important. Football League show on tonight as well. Footballs back.

Millwall vs Leeds today. Pwopa nawty.

Father-in-law offered me a ticket to this one (other half's family are all Millwall fans), but I turned it down because I've got a few mates coming over for our friendly. I was interested though, just to see what the atmosphere will be like. Millwall fans really hate Leeds. Then again, everyone seems to hate both of those teams!

Great opening day win for the 'orns, if they can keep hold of deeney they should be pushing for a play off spot again....but then knowing what the championship is like they could end up in the bottom six!!

Fulham are discovering how much more competitive the Championship is compared to the Premier League.

Huddersfield had a bit of beating. I think they will be relegation candidates this season. Very creditable draw for the Bees. Lovely to see Leeds lose as well. An interesting start to the season.

Anyone else see the football league show? Never expected Dave Kitson to be so well spoken.... and he's a Spurs fan (y)
