Erik Lamela > Angel Di Maria. That’s just a fact of life. Di Maria makes a KILLING solely off reputation. It’s baffling that people still think he’s good. He detracts from Argentina.

Lamela would have been perfect for this match. He wouldn't have wilted away when Colombia started to impose themselves through brute strength. I feel like a 4-3-1-2 with Lamela central and Lo Celso in the more free role in the "3" and you have something special. Di Maria did nothing.

Have to say that Lo Celso wasn't exactly prominent in the game but as has already been said he was wasted by being left out wide.
In a way it would be nice if he didn't shine too much and attract any more clubs than he already has.
Personally I would love to see him in the premiership and in a Spurs shirt.

Thought Sanchez performed very well, Argentina seemed to lack any real cohesion, all looked a bit fractured to me.

Thought Lo Celso had a few decent touches early doors, but nothing that blew me away.

If I'm honest, I kinda got peeved off watching this match. The feckin stop, start every 2 seconds as a result of fouls.

'Done me swede.'

Di Maria is an excellent player and he is vastly superior to Lamela.

I was writing this on Twitter earlier:
“Qatar have a RB named Pedro Miguel Correia, born in Portugal
Their WC 2022 team will be filled by players who isn’t from Qatar”

3 minutes in to the game and he concede a penalty :ROFLMAO:

They've been doing this in athletics for years...most of their team are African born.

Qatar has actually been pretty good, they’ve wasted a few chances they should’ve scored in

Hate VAR....takes all the instantaneous show of emotion out of the game....instead of cheering the crowd look immediately to the ref...
No goal...still 1-0

Wouldn't have minded a few bob on that result....(y) Paraguay a little complacent perhaps but fair play to Qatar, they took their chances.
