Going to football is way too expensive now. We got rid of our season tickets as we just couldn't afford them anymore. I doubt I will go again this season.. I would like to go to one game but that really would be a special occasion as it is just to pricey.

Opening post raises a very good point, and it’s a real possibility. I’d expect the country will go into recession sooner or later so the government will surely need to do something to alleviate that though.
Tough times inbound.

Am over from the US again this time to visit family. Been quite a surprise that groceries here are actually cheaper than in the US.

Everything else however from accommodation to travel and restaurants def more expensive. And don’t get me started on the gas, sorry petrol prices.
Heading back next week for the first time in a minute. Am desperate to make it to the Soton match as I rarely get back mid-season but the cost of the ticket + everything else (trains, accommodation, food) is too much to stomach. Bummer but feels like it’s been going this way for a while in footy.

Good thread idea, interesting Q, many will start to feel the pinch for sure, we now share season tickets between a group of us as a full ST is becoming too expensive, this way we can go to reduced number of games.
