Looks like I'll just be getting laminated tomorrow as the weather is forecast to be a bit gash.

Mats Wilander has got the lashes on him this series it's true. ATM the he's 2 runs for 3 wkts against him. But if he can come out of it he will be all the more stronger for it.

That said he could just be shit and will never make it. Boycott hates his technique but that doesn't mean a lot these days.

Good old Mats.

350 is a good effort considering it looked very tricky to bat yesterday, Stokes played very well. Looks a bit easier to bat today, less green and less movement, but we'll see what the bowlers can do.

Not convinced I like the current technology set up. I'm not saying they weren't edges, but that one and the Ali one earlier I'm not sure what the snicko is actually telling you... On both dismissals you had bat also going passed the pad, which could have possibly been the noise.

I'm not sure what happened to the Hotspot technology, but surely you could/should use both for a bit more of a picture.

I think I heard something about the plastic covers they're putting on bats these days resulting in some edges not showing up on hotspot anymore. I can't find a link to back that up anywhere so I might have just made it up in my head. You'd have thought the obvious response would be to ban the plastic covers but alas they targeted hotspot instead.

You didn't make it up! Most players seem to be using silicon on their bats now. Personally I think it should be banned as its only there for one reason. It does nothing to improve the performance of the bat nor protect the bat.
Besides i love the smell of linseed oil in the morning!

Not much happening here so far*, as SA breeze past the follow on target. This is where I was saying the other day about England lacking some weapons in the bowling department when it's not perfect conditions, and also think the team has lacked energy this morning.

*Cue 50/5 sometime this afternoon...

Jennings goes for a scrappy 48.

Is that enough to save him for the next Test, I wonder ...
Good to see him get a half decent score, think the jury's still out but he'll get another chance imo.
