I'd say they might want to take a look at the set up when Bayliss packs it in at the end of this series. Top to bottom and start with the selectors.

Senior players who don't understand the situation with either bat or ball (or in the field) in hand is pretty much cricket for dummies. Burns, Roy and Stokes fucking awful this morning.

We are brainless. The whole fucking lot of them.

All this talk of "positive brand of cricket" and "we're going to be aggressive and not deviate from what we've been doing". Well it's about time we did fucking deviate you numpties and start thinking about what we're actually doing when we bat.

I'm staggered by this. Absolutely abysmal. There's just no excusing it. We are gifting wickets.

The selectors only have themselves to blame for this really.

Spent so much time and energy on their little pet project James Vince, shoehorning him in at opener and at three, they’ve completely missed the chance to integrate proper test quality batsmen into the side.

As anyone knows we can't bat for toffee. The Aussie bowlers all look dangerous, where as only Archer does for us & he can't do it all himself!

It doesn't look good but we're still in this. We just need a couple of players to do what the Aussies did :nailbiting:

They don't exist in this set-up, unfortunately. Look at the way we batted in the 1st test to try to save the match. Now compare that to the Aussies' efforts in the last match. Absolute chalk and cheese. We're not made of the same stuff. No willingness to put a high price on our wickets. No grit, no graft.

So im assuming we HAVE to win this test to have a chance of winning the ashes otherwise even a draw means that the Aussies retain it no matter what happens in the other two tests - right?

If I was Archer I’d be fucking fuming. He dragged us through yesterday and these fucking shit pricks are taking turns to slap him in the face.

Absolutely under no circumstances should Archer be batting again today but he’ll be at his mark after lunch.
