I used to read the Barmy Army Facebook page. Normally it’s great banter but during the India Series last year it seemed to get very toxic. A few Indian fans based here generally took it in good humour but some home based were rising to the bait at every little thing (Virat Kholi seems to have god like status)and behaving like kids- might be a cultural thing I guess, but it just goes to show that for some sport is everything. Vs Pakistan is probably a different level given that they have been shooting at each other almost constantly since 1947.

Kholi seems to be bullet prove from criticism from Indian supporters.
I question some of his behaviour in the India England series in this thread and a few Indian fans jumped to his defence and it turned into a bit of a ridiculous debate tbh

Lot of chat about how this is between England and Pakistan, but New Zealand are right in there. Definitely not to be underestimated, and they just love being under the radar.

New Zealand always get underestimated and they really shouldn’t be. Time and time again they perform well in these tournaments

Our recent T20 record has been terrible.

Australia have all the tools to be a good T20 side. The attitude with the bat yesterday was very curious

Got away with it today but as you said you can’t keep carrying batsmen. The odd good slog and pull from Morgan but he’s still struggled at a run a ball 6 an over whereas Buttler is going at over 9 an over…

I think Buttler now averages about 60 as an opener in T20 internationals, with a strike rate over 150.

It’s where the ball hits you if the ball is outside the off stump not where it pitches

You cannot be given out LBW if a ball pitches outside leg stump but the ball can pitch 25 feet outside the off stump, cut in and hit you in line with the stumps and in theory that can be given out!

seriously well stocked, especially with Morgan coming into form.

to think of the players we are missing or haven't been selected, we have a seriously deep talent pool in white ball cricket.

sad for Mills guy can’t get a break with injuries. Did wonder prior to todays game if they may have rested him and played Wood or Wiley. Given his injury record.

can't believe how badly we've bowled tbh, although these two Sri Lankans have batted so well. Hasaranga looks a really good cricketer.
