Definitely not. With the forecast and the way the pitch is playing just get as big a lead as you can for a while and this should be a 3 inning game. We can attack in the morning but the uneven weather and pitch will help us bowl them outYou'd think the instruction now would be to just attack attack attack.
Is forecast 4th day no play at all or on/off?The weather is the problem. 4th day looks a wash out . We need to put our foot down in the morning get 180 ahead have 2 sessions at them tomorrow. The uneven bounce suggests wood and broad could be a threat and if there’s cloud cover woakes and Anderson also .
Crawley said they want to bat once on the BBC. So good to see their plan is what we've thought of too.We should not declare, get a big lead and try not to bat again
Is the forecast that bad still?I worry about the weather, there might only be another 3/4 sessions. Bat for another hour max to get to around 150/60 ahead and then go for it.
I think that's basically the plan. I think you could see that Stokes was thinking that he wanted to be there for the morning and with Bairstow/Woakes/Wood to come we are looking to get 180-200 ahead and get them in for 20 mins before lunch tomorrow. Here's a thought. We bat another good session, end up 200 ahead. Pitch starts doing things, rainy overcast conditions, is an innings win out of question?
Especially if there's rain stops and that stop start hindrance for Aussie batters. Maybe that's the thinking behind not going gung ho tonight by Stokes and Brook.
Saturday looks pretty shit all over the countryIs forecast 4th day no play at all or on/off?
But yea need stokes and brooks to smack it about quickly tomorrow then have a go at them.
what do we think ideally get to about 200-250 lead if we can?
Ah crap actual full wash out so this will be a 3-4 days test hmm we need to be very aggressive tomorrow. What’s Sunday saying mate half day or whole day of play?
Crawley
What an innings
