Well narked off now, Mrs has just told me she taking me out for afternoon lunch as it’s my birthday, without the kids.
Seeing as she quite clearly hasn’t got me tickets for tomorrow I’d rather she went and got me a pack of San Miguel and left me in front of the tv for the afternoon if truth be told 😡

I remember reading on here recently that someone said everyone loved Cummins over there, so much so all the blokes wanted to be him!
Is that now not the case, are your media as bad as ours?!?🤣

It's not the media mate, it's mostly cricket fans

His negativity in field positions in having so many fielders on the boundary, even at the start of the innings, no one around the bat. He just seems to be very conservative and doesn't attack as much as say Waugh, Clarke or Tubby. And we have been bowling way too short which I guess is why so many fielders on the boundary.

Good close game atm, we probably should reverse our batting order in the second innings.

Apparently, if England had had to have batted for one over last night, they would have opened with Anderson. That’s maximum vibes.
Uncertain weather forecast for days four and five. I’ll think they’ll go berserk today.

Who bats 3 is the question - with Mo off the field all day yesterday he can’t bat until 7-8?

Should probably be Root as a one off but may be the skipper 🤷‍♂️

Only 16 overs in 80 minutes of play is poor yet again from the Aussies. Probably only going to get through 23 overs in the session.

The only way to stop it is to punish teams with runs for each over they are short of the required rate. Won't happen though because the purists would never go for it.

I guess it doesn't matter how many runs per over we score at if they don't bowl many overs.

Feels a little off the Aussies are going to retain the Ashes playing such anti/spoiling cricket.

A slow over rate isn’t “anti” cricket. That’s is a bit much isn’t it?
Cricket has changed because of all the white ball stuff and that’s now leaking into the test match arena.. Stokes has decided to play test cricket so aggressively that people expect too much.

for what it’s worth I think England have been seriously unlucky this series and should have come into this test 2-2, and looking like they could win this one. So you have to give credit where it’s due, the games exciting and more neutrals keeping an eye on when historically it was too boring for them.

But let’s not completely lose the run of ourselves.. test cricket is still a game of patience and strategy.

Cummins is a garbage captain. He’d drive me insane if he captained England. How can a bowler have no idea how to set a field or rotate his bowlers?

He makes Root look a half decent skipper

Another fantastic session for England. Absolutely battered the Aussies again

The baggy greens are trying to put on a brave face but deep down they’ve been murdered by front foot, positive cricket all series

They must absolutely hate being second best, playing reactive negative cricket all summer

They should hang their heads in shame as they take the Urn back to Oz.

I almost feel sorry for them playing like a bunch of Sheila’s!

Good session for England. Every Test has swung back and forth though, so wouldn't be surprised to see us go into tea at 230-7.

Fantastic series for Crawley. I’ve been one of his biggest critics and thought he’d wilt under the pressure of the Ashes but he’s been excellent and has fully justified the confidence and patience that has been afforded to him.

If he can get over wafting at balls bowled around the 5th stump, he’d convert a significant amount of these 50s into 100s.

Agreed, slow over rate has to be punished in game, financial penalties, even losing whole match fee doesn't dissuade teams. Runs, or fielders 'in the circle' like in one day cricket, should be penalties.
