Him, Mason and Townsend were huge standouts in our youth team. I remember watching them all and wondering who would have the best career. I thought he would have an excellent career but he seemed to end up a journeyman more than anything. Still only 31!!

It's still not an easy question to answer which one has the best playing career

I think Townsend may shade it with is time at Palace for game time, but we could debate this all day long.

Mason looked good at Spurs with the partnership with Betaleb. Poch initially was a huge fan. Unfortunately that injury was the end of him at Hull.

Caulker has played in England, Wales, Scotland and Turkey but I don't think he's ever really proved it long term in the big leagues.

All 3 have played for England too!

Caulker was a talent. The best CB we've produced since Ledley. I never understood why we sold him, but the club must have known something was going on.

He asked to be sold because AVB wasn't giving him as much game time as he wanted. He has admitted since that this was short sighted on his part and a move he very much regrets making.

Really?

Because @Breezer had some cracking ITK at the time that Caulker was shipped out of the club because he called Joe Lewis' daughter a brass.

I mean, yeah, he might have wanted more game time but, you have to say, the ITK's a far better story than that...

I don’t like judging a player on hearsay. It’s not fair. I mean, what does Joe Lewis’ daughter look like?

She’s now in her 60s and at the time Caulker was at Spurs was living with Craig Johnston, the ex-Liverpool player.
