TBH I think its pretty pointless in speculating because it really could be anyone and all it will achieve is to fill this thread with repetative guesses based on inaccurate or vague information.

Definitely the investment part was correct, if not necessarily the exact amount.

I'm happy that JJ has said there will be investment though.

No offence VC but this is exactly what I mean. He scored a volley but he doesn't fit any of the other clues, such as they are. If we assume BM = Bayern Munich and then take into account JJ saying he thinks he may have got the initials wrong then its also fair to assume that although the initials are wrong, the country is at least right. You'd think so at any rate. If we extend that to players who used to play in Germany then we've literally hundreds of suspects. It's pointless.

There's been two fairly lengthy pieces of ITK posted by Akqayid, so lets all try and focus on the other stuff rather than concentrating on something which is, in effect, nothing. At least until Akqayid comes back and clarifies the info.

With regards to the French 'keeper and JJ saying it's not nearly done, are we thinking he's saying

A) yes we are looking at him but it's not close yet

B) not close because we aren't looking at him

Also A&C has asked us to not play "guess the player with a possible vague connection to Germany who has scored a volley at some time in his career". Let's at least give him a couple of hours of what he wants.

Why does there have to be a connection with Germany? The main 2 volleys I can remember from last season was Falcao's overhead kick and Damiao's.

I'm actually with A+C for this one. Pointless guessing who scored volleys last season really until we have a bit more to go on. Let's hope someone comes back and clarifies a county or division or something!

From what I'm reading it looks to me like we're trying to do a lot, in a short space of time. Whilst good in theory, we have a history of not being able to pull it off. We're definitely a 'one thing at a time' club and seem to have always struggled with juggling matters.

I really think our season is going to be hampered by uncertainty yet again in the beginning, with the majority player deals running to the wire yet again and targets being out of our league in general. That's if we even manage to sort the manager situation quickly. We're less than 8 weeks away now and that's about the same amount of time people have been saying Vertonghen is 'close'. That's some traffic jam he must've been in.
