I'm not sure it's really worth looking at it like that until the end of the window. United have only signed Sancho and Tom Heaton so far. They're obviously going to sign Varane, but it's not done yet. We're obviously going to sign other players and probably lose Kane so let's see where we are when the window closes.

Didn't we sign seven players last summer and almost everyone thought we'd had a great window?

and we were top of the league ❤ it was a very long way down, the therapist said why Spurs?
Come on Fabio ❤️?

I can assure everyone, the HK situation has been known since before the last season was done. I suspect, the second Mourinho was fired (as Harry believed in him), and we whimpered out of the cup final, the dye was cast. 100% it was communicated to Levy. Was clear prior to the Euros. I will not say it is inevitable. HK wants to go. City want him. There is a little matter (not commenting on size) of Levy. He knows the value of HK to THFC, three time Golden Boot Winner, reigning WC Golden Boot, 3rd most goals ever for THFC and very likely to eclipse Greaves if he stays, very likely to catch Shearer as the most PL goals ever, reigning Golden Boot and playmaker awards. Dodgy ankles but still 4 or 5 more quality seasons. I don't know what the price is, but it cannot be less that 150M GBP. If City want to do 150M Euros, plus Silva, I'm listening. 120M Euros plus Silva and Laporte, I'm Listening. 100M Euros plus Silva and Laporte and Torres and I'm listening. Anything less is not THFC valuation for Kane. I fully appreciate that FP wants to get on with it, and Nuno wants to move on. Levy's valuation is all that matters.

My understanding is that Spurs do not need the Kane money to buy Martinez or Vlahovic. It can be done while keeping Kane.

Is there anyone who believes we will not get 120M GBP in January or 100M GBP next summer. Spurs/Levy need to hold firm. He is under contract for 3 years. No rush. So yes, we will sell, but if, and only if, our valuation for the player, is met.

As for Dragon's comments about anything less than CL is not acceptable - unrealistic IMO. As a goal every year - to be sure. As an expectation, cannot fly. 3 clubs are playing with Monopoly or generational success money, so Spurs cannot win contract/transfer battles with any of Chelsea, City or United. Just a fact. Any of those three could have signed Messi. Spurs could not. Facts is fact. Liverpool also has more pull power than do we. Arsenal is no worse off and are prepared to do more stupid signings. So, our revenues, purchasing power etc are 6th in the PL. Has been so for over a decade. We keep getting closer to Arsenal. Gap is closing (and I remind all that we were no better than Villa and Everton when the PL started). But, to suggest, given reality, that we have a divine right to top 4, or that it can be "expected" is absurd. That we should be in the mix, absolutely. I would argue, had we kept Mourinho, and won the Cup, we would have run the table which would have seen us in the CL. Levy, et al, thought Mason was the way to go. Let that sink in!!!!! Would Kane be looking to go elsewhere if we won the Cup and were in CL next year? No way in H E double toothpicks.

So, we all need to be patient. We will be part of the top 4 mix. Kane, if the valuation is met, will go. If not, he will remain. Either way, THFC is moving forward. I am optimistic. Skipp is better than Winks. Gio will finally have a season of health. Skipp will, allow Hojberg to better express himself going forward. Sessegnon will play. Son will come out from the shadows of Kane. Dele will play more direct and will get back to what he does best. Bergwijn, Gil are so full of pace and ability and Bergwijn is healthy. Romero is a talent. Gollini looks crazy good, Most of all, we have FP and Nuno who are both excellent and we have Levy sitting back and letting others operate.

Long season to come. I suspect 2021-2022 with see the zenith after last year's nadir. COYS

I have always tried to understand the Levy position. The Mourinho sacking before a cup final was beyond the pale

Just caught up after a day down the beach.

Wow, very depressing in the various threads with today's news.

ValYid is the main one to concentrate on anyway, we have to spend and we will so STOP PANICKING!

i love how optimistic you still are H88, but my optimism is slowly giving way to pessimism ( not with your info ) but with the deals being done in time.

Cheers @Rob ??‍♂️, just had 4,000 notifications of new followers and being me, of course I have to scroll through them all.

On a side note, haven't looked back but to the person who suggested I wore budgie smugglers at the beach today, don't be so ridiculous, I'm a grown man with morals, I of course wore nothing!

Man goes naked on beach and then complains about getting attention - tease ;)

Just a thought but BBC sports gossip have reported a bid of 120m euros from Real to PSG for Mbappe.
Could he not be considered a possible suitable Kane replacement should Harry go for around 150m ??

JJ with a few snippets on Twitter this morning:

Reports that we had agreed a fee for Martinez were bullshit.

Kane will go if City meet our price, JJ knew he wanted out months ago. If they don’t pay what we want, he will stay with us. We have a deadline and once that has passed he won’t be allowed to leave.

We will bring in 1 striker but 2 if Kane leaves.

He doesn’t know anything, should be banned from posting like aggregators
Fair enough.

Just saw that he was the original source and he has a decent amount of followers.

Can be deleted if that’s the consensus(y)
