i wonder if it is just to spark an auction and get the others to pay more. Either way, Palace win. They will insist the player stays with them for the rest of the season.

Palace have already made it abundantly clear that any deal for Zaha would have to include a loan back for rest of the season.

If Palace want to anywhere near as much as they have been saying for Zaha they will have to realise that they cannot dictate other terms such as him being loaned back.

Wonder how long a memory the Palace board have though......they didn't seem too pleased with Levy over the Bostock thing (albeit during the reign if the orange man).

True. They may have to settle for a lower fee in order to have him for the remainder of the season. I think it would be best for both parties. Palace need him and wherever he goes to would be better off waiting for the summer. To step up from Championship to PL is tough but to do it immediately without any bedding in period through pre-season has got to be killer.

Our recent signings from Crystal Palace (Routledge & Bostock) haven't exactly set the world alight! I'd like to see Zaha at Spurs but anything over £5m is probably too much of a gamble at this stage for a player who could quite easily turn out like the previous two

Not always biggest reason, but certainly a big reason. No coincidence IMO that our best group of consistent performances have coincided with his first proper run of games.

Sorry guys I cant be arsed to answer every reply.
Basically, I have pestered re: Adebayor Parker and Livermore ever since they were mentioned as possible targets. Livermore has always been a goer, and will more than likely happen.
Parker, Harry has been interested in, but doubts he could do a deal for him. Also doubts whether Scotty would want to leave to go ANYWHERE!
Adebayor, He has never been denied really. But that was all till yesterday. My newer source raised the idea with me again. He said that we were looking at the idea of moving him on for sure. I asked the gaffer, and he confirmed this morning that he is more than just an idea for Harry. Harry thinks that we might be prepared to loan-to-buy!
Interesting to see that Zaha link being firmed up. I was told that we would back off as United were showing real firm interest, however it seems that Palace or Zaha? dont want to do a deal with United. We want him though thats for sure

Isn't Parker a boyhood spurs fan ? Aren't Palace still mightily pissed off with us over the Bostock deal ? Hard to imagine they'd lean towards us ? Who owns Palace now ?

I wonder why! Maybe he wants to stay in London, or move to a team where he may play regularly instead of going out on loan like Nick Powell has?
Personally I think it would be a shame if he leaves Palace. He may as well stay there and help them progress, realise it is better to play than just train.

Apparently we tried to sign Zaha in January last year but Redderz is illiterate and bought Saha instead.
