Probably just because it's Sunday and nobody is doing anything at the club.
If he joined Barcelona it would be positively encouraged.
What about the cleaners, surely they know something!!
Yeah I couldn't believe it when I saw that fee. Great deal on the face of it.Perisic just transfered to Wolfsburg, hes a player i'm surprised we didn't monitor. 8m euros is a hell of a deal, too.
not going to mention the previous 20 then?
Is this a gag? I'll play...I'll go better than that, I can't think of a single game, no matter how bad Adebayor has played, where I've wished he was Defoe.
Did you notice where Mourinho put Modric when he came on today ?

Think everyone's other halves are fucked off with them staring at their phones....
I'm sorry but you live in cloud cuckoo land, there is no way we can guarantee Bale the financial and footballing opportunities offered by Real. We are just not at that level, and even with the new stadium we would still be vulnerable to these few elite clubs. That's just a fact of life, what we have to do, and what Levy has been good at is to be smarter than them, and use our resources better, which means if Bale makes it clear he wants to go, get maximum price and invest it in 2-3 up and coming hot properties to strengthen us overall.I disagree - look at Swansea and their situation over Michu: he will clearly be taken by someone bigger in the next season or so as they cannot accommodate the level of ambition that a player who is on top of the game would require. Swansea are aware of this and will be looking for the next player to get in who can provide a similar profit (we benefit from this regularly with players like sigurdson etc coming from "smaller clubs"). In the past, we have never managed (long term) to hold onto our prized players (Carrick, Berbatov, Modric, etc) because there is always a price above which other clubs know we will do the deal. Hence we are a selling club. Clubs who sell players (like Manyoo selling Ronaldo) once in a blue moon because the offer is too good to be true and there are other players to take up the slack are not the same. If Ferguson had dug his heels in, I expect Ronaldo would still be there.
I remember the point where we were supposedly building a team around Carrick's passing game and then he was gone - Modric was the lynchpin of the midfield and Bale is surely the next on the list.
However, if we invest in making sure that these are not isolated players but are the core of a similarly talented team, then they can see that there is not the need to move elsewhere for success. If Bale understood that he was part of a team being improved to his level and that the ambition was to go toe to toe with Real and Barca rather than to scrape CL qualification every 2-3 years then there would not be the lure of Spain in his sights.
If we sell all of our best players, the best players know that the club is a stepping stone. If we invest in improving the squad then they see it as a place to realise their ambitions. I'd rather the latter.
Noticed that the usual ITK that we rely on have kept quiet this year. The likes off JJ,Ryan,POTL,The goat have all avoided everything they can. I wonder if it's because they've been told to keep their traps shut as the club don't want to give anything away or because there's just simply nothing to say.
There's no such thing as a selling club and a non-selling club. United sold Ronaldo, Real may have to sell the same player this summer.
Wide right. Thought that was a bit strange but he did well enough there. Played a delicious outside of the boot pass at one point. Little rat.

TBH even though I spend hours on here it's great when a signing comes from nowhereMixed bag there. JJ is saying things, some things whilst claiming he ain't doing any ITK. Ryan's been busy as QPR's premium ITK but has traded his work for new contacts which is a good effort, POTL's gone to ground and the Goat was only an amalgamation of sneaky sources anyway...
The Journalist has been around and the new era beloved of our mods here of TWITTER ITK is upon us...
But yeah, it ain't exactly busy...
