Maybe the reason Ade is 'not playing' is that he's coming back to arrange his transfer to QPR????

I know nothing about Heung-Min Son, could he do a job here? or would it be another shirt sales signing (a la Qu Bo / Kevin)

Even if Ade does indeed come back, I still think we'll be in for a striker within the next three weeks, déjà vu for last reason, levy won't want us to miss out on champions league and a striker of top class will help secure that this season

In all seriousness though. I'm not a Ade hater. I just think there is a big difference from him this season an last seasons. and I guess im just a little bit concerned as I have seen where this usually goes....

I agree with this, well maybe not with how harshly it is worded, but players have to buy into all of AVB and Fruend's training and tactical sessions or leave really. It is about setting a precedent that we are all pulling in the same direction.

I have a dream, a dream of a day when Spurs fans will not slag off anyone, be it a player, manager, owner or ITK. Why would anyone want to join a club where all the fans do is slag off their own players?

I agree with you mate. I don't support the booing of your own players, unless they're overtly not trying, and abusing the name of the club. Adebayor's not my cup of tea. He has undoubted talent and with the right application could be an unbelievable lone striker. But to my mind he's the sort of character who needs to be the main man at a club, to play every week, be wrapped in cotton wool and constantly assured of his importance and ability. It's an old football cliche, but he's the archetypal confidence player, and Redknapp was the ideal coach for him.

However, Villas Boas employs an meritocratic system, where anyone can earn a place in the team, based on their recent form or work in training, therefore Adebayor hasn't been playing every week. His form is interrupted and, to slip back into the world of footballing cliches, 'his head has dropped'.

Whether for right or wrong, I think Adebayor needs to play for a club where he's the star man, the number 9 who plays every week and the system is built around. If he were at West Ham, or Villa, or QPR, or Sunderland, or whoever, he'd thrive under those circumstances.

For those reasons, our interest in other strikers (providing we can get one) and AVB's faith in Jermain, I'd advocate shipping Adebayor out at the next possible opportunity.

Yeh i don't feel as harshly as i put it. The whole thing reminds me of the Kanoute deciding to play for Mali last minute incident.

It just upsets things within the team, and frankly now that Togo have told him he's not included it just makes the whole thing look stupid.

The original reason he pulled out was over money (big surprise). I can't imagine the Togolese FA have much cash knocking about and given the huge pay packet he has been getting the last 5 or 6 years in the PL it all seems a bit greedy to me.

IF he comes back and starts doing what he did for us last season on the pitch and doing the same as all others in training then fine, all's good. But he's realistically only one incident away from being booted out IMO.

Right that's it, who's been putting mdma in A&C's toothpaste??? I could almost deal with the whole switcharoo about twitter ITK in the opening bit, but this turn around on spamming this thread with Ade chat - WTF man!!?!
