Would make sense, Grayson took him to leeds (where he was playing very well) then andros cancelled his loan when he got sacked.

If we loan him he should be going to a prem team imo, Wigan would be good for him.

Only problem with Wigan is that they play 3-4-1-2 or 5-2-1-2. Townsend isn't a wing back so i'm not sure he'd fit in. I think he'd do well at Reading as they play wingers all over the place.

he is the hottest property in the prem atm, so you cant really blame him for wanting to be involved in the big games. win things etc... if we get CL i think he will stay for sure.

My take on Gards' post there is that he has mixed his feeling/the media's feeling about how important the CL is and applied it to Bale. Not every player can play in the Champions League and there are only 3 clubs that can realistically afford him - PSG, Man City, Real Madrid. I have excluded Barca because they have committed to buying Neymar and despite a huge sponsorship deal with Qatar Airways for next season I can't see them spending out 80m+ on two players.

You have to remember how much of a down to earth guy Gareth Bale is. At the same time that SAF gave Rooney time off to spend with his family, Harry gave Bale time off. Rooney went to Dubai and was pictured with Coleen at some flash hotel getting his pasty white skin sunburned. Bale went to Cardiff to see his mum.

Now he is a new father. Stable relationship. Paid well. Happy at Spurs.

It would require a big attitude shift to make him actively seek to leave Spurs. As long as Spurs keep progressing and Spurs are happy to resist the speculation/agent stirring, he'll stay. Spurs are on the up right now.

All players leave at some point, it won't be a surprise if he does choose to go.. but it's a huge decision and not one I think he is looking at right now.
