OK you mugs, you wanted it, you got it. The January Transfer season on Spurs Community has finally arrived! I've even got a brand new banner, courtesy of Chrissivad

THE RULES:

Conversation in The Daily ITK Discussion Thread will sometimes drift off topic a bit. We understand that and will bear it in mind. But that doesn't mean you can take the piss! Also the rules of the site apply in here just as on any other part of SC.

As most of you will already know, abusing ITK will see you banned from accessing the ITK Forums.

OK, so now that's out of the way, carry on.

OK, we're open for business. There's probably a few bugs still to iron out, if anyone spots anything, please let me know.

I Posted yesterday on coys, but Naughton is very very likely to make his switch to Leicester permanent

Any idea what sort of price? We need to trim the squad a bit and unfortunately Naughton doesn't look like he'll be good enough.

Makes sense regarding Naughton - he's a solid championship player but never had the makings of a top half EPL player. Pacy but no brain.

Was poor business really - we'd've been better keeping Gunter and our £8m.

I'm in the 'sign Kevin Doyle' camp... He's a big improvement than what we've got but we'd still need a top class striker to make us champions.

Good news about naughton, more cash in the door can only be a good thing.

Terrible purchase btw. Maybe we had to take him in order to get walker

That actually was the consensus of opinion.

So at the end it would be £6m for Walker (£8m for both Kyles, £2m back for Naughton) sounds a good deal for me as Walker's future looks bright. Also you never know with the Wickham rumours... I dont have a clue about the guy but he seems really rated on here, so maybe Naughton is a little sweetner...

How does Naughton going to Leicester become a sweetener for an Ipswich player?

You reall don't know anything about Wickham do you?

No worries, we all get confused at times.

I can definitely see one or both of Townsend and Livermore being used as sweeteners for Wickham.

Other way was it not.

Naughton wanted to go to Everton, but Sheefiel Unided wanted to sell to us as we offered the better deal. Talks of we stamped our feet and said both or nothing and we then got them.

it is being reported here in SA that there is truth in our reported interest in Pienaar. A journalist called Neil Manthorp (living in london) was interviewed about the impending move of Bongani Khumalo to spurs on local radio. he had offered Khumalo to stay with him to help in settling in. the conversation drifted to a "scoop" in that Pienaar to Spurs was on for January. He received this info from Pienaar himself. He mentioned that HR was very keen in the summer to sign Pienaar, the stumbling block was the fee quoted by Everton and the transfer budget HR had in place back then. he could not use that some of funds on Pienaar whilst he still had other priorities in the squad. Everton are now apparently keen to do business at a reduced price. please treat more as a transfer rumour than itk.
