As long as we can reliably spend this much each season and not just blow our load this year because of the cash injection (which likely won’t be every year).

This season may see more action than next in terms of player capital but we will spend what is needed??

With the amount of good work being done this summer it will be a case of upgrading certain positions year on year. Glad to hear such positive ITK all round though, seriously exciting times as a Spurs fan (finally!!)

Given the business we have done: Bissouma, Richarlison, Spence, in particular, and the nucleus of young players we already have - we should not need another massive transfer window like this for a few years.

Woah man I was told by Arsenal fans that we were only buying old players and we won't be relevant in a few years?

Exactly. In an ideal world you go into each summer window needing 1 or 2 top players and looking at future stars.

Agree, another CB and AM it will be more like a couple of quality signings plus maybe a punt on a prospect, instead of the need for a huge overhaul like this window.

Maddison in Winks out talk is very welcoming. As well as improving depth, shifting certain players on is important too.

Guess Herc’s latest confirms Maddison as our top target. Must say, would love to know who else is on that list.
Don't know about top target. My opinion is he's seen as a sensible option, because they are interested in Winks.

Looking at a number of alts, and I would prefer others personally,

This is concerning I’d like us to buy 8 first teamers every summer.

That is insane. Imagine having better options than a home grown, PL proven quality midfielder who had 30 goal contributions last season and in his prime.

I hope what you say is regards to the quality of the alternatives and not about the whole old tweets fiasco.
