Harry meeting Levy today!

Harry is resigned to the fact that his time at Spurs is over. He believes that the people he has to work with (above him) are a horrible bunch. His words not mine!

Would take an awful lot to turn this situation around. Sad day for us, if we havnt got something big lined up

Thanks Ryan - hard to gauge am sure but any ideas on timeframes for this?

Re Harry leaving.

Did Bilic sign for Lokomotiv? Otherwise I could actually see him as a manager for Spurs based only on the fact that he actually seems to like Spurs, judging from his comments in various media. And his got a good connection with croatian players and that country is bursting with talent.

As much as it is documented (and not denied by Harry) about the relationship between h and Daniel Levy, I think the majority of the problems lie with other board members. That was quite a statement to make suggesting they are a horrible bunch.

Ryan - thanks for that.

This is indeed a massive few days for us. I am concerned at how the players are going to react. This makes me quite nervy. If Harry is going to leave, then I hope we get the new guy appointed asap, so we can put this behind us and properly prepare for the new season. That said, it's just not the Spurs way!

Well, that's a right turn up for the books! Thanks as always Ryan (y)

I'd be interested to hear JJ's take on this considering the Goat's ode to Adie, as we know things can change pretty quickly.

or sour grapes. Hopefully it gets resolved today and we can move onwards and upwards.

I will be sad to see the day Harry goes. People underestimate how much he has done for this club and are quite ungrateful. Personally, I hope they can settle their differences and he remains at the club.

Cheers, Ryan. I will be sad to see him go if that's the case. Before he joined us I was never a fan of his, but I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and slowly but surely he made me start to believe he could do something great with us. Ok he has made mistakes, and plenty of them in 3 1/2 years, but I also think he has done a hell of a lot more good for us.

He isn't the best tactician in the world (but definitely better than he is given credit for) and can alienate players not in his first 11, but if he does leave then I will be sad that the wonderful ride we have been on will be coming to an end.

Of course that's not to say that whoever does come in won't pick up where Harry left and take us on to bigger and better things, but I will always remember H's time as one of when I got to see my Spurs play properly again. Many have tried since Pleaty and El Tel in the late 80's/early 90's but even then they never really got us going (Pleat may have done if given more than a season, but that's another story).

Let's hope that Daniel Levy can do the right thing again and help keep us up where we belong.

From being so close to an almighty good season we have ended up in a right mess. All stems from England and our expectation that First Harry would be replacing Capello after the Euros to then Harry replacing Capello for the euros.
We've obviously planned for this to a certain degree, having sounded out both Ancelloti and Rodgers. Both men now gone leaves us in a pickle. The availability of the right manager now is questionable. Next season Ancelloti pep and Mourinho could all be available, but could we attract them?

I think, if most of what has been reported on Harry is true, then we've gone to far. I don't think sitting out the last year of his contract is an option. Things seem too messy. And who's to say he wouldn't jump if another offer came in midseason?

Time for change IMHO. Whether that's Moyes AVB Capello Martinez I don't know, but redknapp for me next season doesn't look like an option.

Thanks again Ryan, its interesting who these other members are and what their day to day involvement with H is...

It's strange, I feel a bit empty and a bit down about the info from Ryan.

I don't really know what to make of it all. First and foremost, I love the club, and whatever is right for the club to move forward I hope that Daniel gets it right, and does what is best for the club.

I had my wobbles with Harry at the back end of the season, because we should have done better, not entirely down to him, but he was steering the ship.

I wanted Brendan Rodgers and would have been happty to let Harry go in order to get him, as I felt that long term he was better suited to us.

But if it all ends on a bad note, I don't know how i'm gonna feel about this?

Ryan - As you've suggested that Harry is resigned to the fact that his Spurs days are over, can we assume that it will be Harry that is making the decision here to leave and waive compensation or will the decision be taken away from him?

It's a real mess at the moment and counter productive to any plans we are trying to lay for the new season so I hope that all parties get this sorted amicably and quickly!

I just realised. That could be my last ever ITK :(
I wanted to say dislike (as in not happy about it being your last ITK) but then realised I would be giving you a negative rating, so just stopped in time...!!

As for Harry leaving, i agree with the posts above above that this might have an effect on players leaving :(

OK this is where we'd appreciate it if some sensibility was shown.

Talk about who should replace Harry can go into the Harry Redknapp thread, you've all probably posted your opinions on this several times anyway so all we'd be doing is repeating the same things. There's enough in the ITK for you to chew over as it is so lets try and keep this thread clear of that. Thanks.
