There is a player in Germany that we are interested in. Apparently Arsenal have been monitoring him as well as the big German teams.

Adam Szalai.

Is he all that? I know nothing about him

This season he has a little run, but please not, last year the Mainz fans didn't rate him because he didn't hit the goal.

Funny is that in his best season for Mainz he was part of a famous trio with Schurrle and Holtby

If we are signing someone from the PL I would be alright with Long. 5 goals and 4 assists, young and used to the PL. Not that bad option to have around in the team. It would be cool to see what he could do for a better team than WBA.

Do you think this might be a recent development, Ryan? Or is it something that has always been the case and the suggestion that he's been largely ignored wasn't entirely accurate?

Some players don't hit their prime until later. Or even show a shred of potential until later on. 25 is older but there are prime years available there.

I still reckon there will be a forward coming in, I'm certain of it.
Not sure in what guise though, I'd like a big name if Leandro can finally be nailed down, but guessing not so more likely maybe as others have said a loan or stop gap, or a punt on a prospect, but I'm confident there will be someone.
As for Moutinho, I'm less than optimistic considering how close we allegedly were last time, you'd have thought it would have been a quick formality, not dragged on this long.
Not convinced about this Szalai guy, never seen him admittedly, but going on what I've just read quickly, he just seems a little bit Rasiak. That said, I'm no scout, so my opinion is not educated.
Couple of £10m ish players, big enough to appease us as fans without Levy having to break the bank. A CF and AM, young up and coming prospects from European leagues, caught before their value rockets...

If we spend money we should do it right. Loic Remy isn't doing that well after his injury so he is a bit of a gamble, an expensive gamble. I think it is good that we don't buy anyone but we have an idea what we need. Has Arsenal bought a top center forward with Giroud? Be patient.

We didn't try to get Remy this time. Remy have had quite a poor season, chronic knee injury and a heart problem. There are many reasons why we didn't try again. Remy was always a Redknapp target. West Ham signed Carroll on loan, Chamack on loan, a useless Brazilian striker on loan and then what? Dempsey is a better striker than all of them.

Id rather have dempsey and defoe im im honest. Theyve scored nearly 20 goals between them this season. Cant see remy having a half season like that. (famous last words )

Good poster and friend DonDon's (big up the Hertford massive) brother was a guest of the QPR board on Saturday, with various Spurs peeps there too. General consensus, which obviously could've been smoke blown, was that our business was done.

Titbit number two was another good poster and reliable person Don Jonesy had a text from a friend of his who was sat in the seat in front of AVB on a flight to Barca. (who were away at Malaga) Again, probably bollocks but...
