Tevez a great player but a headcase. He was not in the Argentinian squad since he is a known disruptive force in the dressing room. We really could do without that, we need a team pulling together not a bunch of talented individuals if we re ever going to challenge for a top four place

You're saying that we need world class strikers that we can't afford which has always been the case with us.

This was what i was trying to say in My original post We need quality but dont spend the money which is why i said tricky glad you noticed.
Justin signal didnt have the manners or balls to respond another of those who think their opinions are too superior to others.ffs.

With Tevez, could it not be the case that his wage structure was similar to Adebayor's? Ie ManC / Juve paid him a lump to get him off the books when sold to Juve and they are paying him similar wages to what we pay Ade ?
Yes. It could be something along the same lines. I firmly believe that there was some sort of a pay cut from the salary level he enjoyed at ManC to his salary at Juventus.
Those 5.5M euros you asked about are I believe, an educated guess. It's not an uncommon number associated with Serie-A profiles. IMHO opinion that figure is slightly to high, maybe something around or slightly below 5M is more accurate for Tevez. But of course, you also have bonuses and such. According to Juventus' annual reports, total variable bonuses are approx. 20 % of total base wages.

this is madness. Why would Juventus want to sell Tevez??

They wouldn't. Not now they are back in the champions league.

One thing I will say about the tevez link is that we tried to sign him before under redknapp. So interest has been there in the past. I'm sure he's a striker we would love to sign and might have sounded out but I can't see us buying a striker this window unless we offload adebayor.

Maybe Alan Sugar's "Carlos Kick a ball" is about to finally come true, come on Tevez the Chick King needs you

The ITK says…...Tevez has come from a few reliable sources some from ex players who are well connected but that deal would be tough!

So it's clearly recognised as not exactly being a piece if cake of a deal to close, if it actually went as far as a serious conversation. The whole thing was probably based on the question being asked without Juve/Tevez answer being known by these sources. It's very likely the answer consisted of a three minute belly laugh followed the a dead ringtone and the club has closed the book on it.

Perhaps we should do the same.

Nothing annoys me more than people not wanting a world class player because he's 30. Moronic argument of the highest order.

He won't come though.

I kinda wish JJ would either rubbish it or confirm its a possibility, the fact it comes from 'a few reliable sources' is what intrigues me.

Won't happen but Tevez would be ideal for us

When we go a goal or two down or the opposition is parking the bus our heads drop, we are a mentally weak team, Tevez has a winning mentality and would not give up no matter what, always sure of 100% effort from him

Agree with this. Not sure Tevez is the answer, but I would love us to sign a player with that kind of personality.

Have a read through the David Villa thread when we were linked last year, some serious wtf comments in there.
