The fact that Rose was on the bench (when he could've picked Trippier) leads me to believe that Poch has no intention of wielding the axe like he did with Townsend.

It's all very well people saying his days could be numbered, but let's not forget he was voted the best left back in the league by fellow professionals. Yes what he did was stupid and yes he should be punished, but I don't think we should just show him the door. We can't operate on a one-mistake-and-out basis.

Normally I would agree with this but if the reports about Poch going bananas are true and that his views on certain players may actually have changed over the past few weeks then Rose has hardly helped himself. In the context of the shambles that was yesterday plus the terrible performances over past few weeks, Rose highlighting himself in such an idiotic way could easily mean he gets lumped in with the other guys that Poch is rightly furious and disappointed with. He could be shipped out.

I don't disagree but let's face it, he wouldn't move abroad so we'd be strengthening a rival whilst weakening ourselves in the process. No player's bigger than the club, but I don't think we're in a position sign a better player than him in that position so I can't see Poch taking that decision. Could be wrong but just my onions.

Rose is one of our better players, and always give it his all. However, if the latest ITK bit is true, he is proper stupid and another example of how little the players care about the fans (or even the manager).

If true im so disappointed in him that im allright with seeing him gone. Would make an example for other players. We're speaking about men beeing payed 50k a week to play a game here, the least they can do is look after themself.

You know right back and left back are different positions right?
Er....yes. Pochettino chose to put 1 CB and 1 FB on the bench yesterday, he could've put in Trippier if Rose had pissed him off but he didn't.

Thats so disappointing from Rose if true. Going to have to work his bollocks off to demonstrate to Poch that he's worth keeping now surely. With City being linked with him I wonder if a decent offer comes in if we might see him move on. Would be a shame because he's improved in the exact ways needed for Poch's system but no time for that behaviour at all.

Like Rose but if City offer a stupid £50 million for him then why not.

If the story about Rose is true I'd be tempted to get rid, but that would depend to an extent on his level of remorse and attitude moving forwards. I'd also say the same if it was anyone else - Kane, Alli, Dembele, whoever. No player is bigger than the club, and if they want to take the piss then perhaps it's time to go.

I guess this mentality wasn't going to be ridden of with one season, as much as we'd hoped it had gone. I just hope poch doesn't go overboard, as much as the players need to know they've let him down.

Except lamela imo

I'd put Kane in that bracket at least in terms of work rate, he ran his socks off yesterday even though he was totally isolated. But yeh Lamela has been brilliant it has to be said given our implosion.

For me it's the Ajax boys Toby, Jan and Eriksen who have been such a let down. They looked like they didn't give a shit.

Could work in our favour, he has now seen the spine of the team under pressure. This may speed up our development in terms of removing weaker players and bringing better competition.

Why couldn't the Micky mouse bomb squad target st James? We could have evacuated in much the same way

Should hv killed that game if he did not act so selfish

If the Rose story is true I find it utterly baffling that he was given permission to go partying in the first place when there was still important work to be done. Whose decision was that?.

Disagree profoundly with this analysis.
In my eyes, Pochettino does not seem to pick the players on the bench based on who he'd want around for the next season.
Almost all players who has been sold under Pochettino were frequent players on the bench.

Who is that other LB starting with Ro ... Rodriquez?

I think it's obvious he's pretty pissed at the two who got hauled off yesterday and I don't expect Carroll or Chadli to be here next season either although I think Son will stay but Mason won't, think we're going to be pretty ruthless in the summer. TBH.
