Hello good citizens of SC. At least A&C has let the Goat out of its pen a bit this summer which is good to see. Sounds like Wimmer will likely be sold as well as Sissoko while everyone else stays. Hope we get some signs of incomings soon. Make it a great day or not, the choice is yours.

Wonder if we have to sell all these players before dl pulls the trigger on any signings.

I think Wimmer is a classic case of someone too good to be a reserve player. Maybe a loan would be a good thing for him. Buy Alfie Mawson, and loan Wimmer to the Swans.

Good to hear we are looking at strikers. Also very happy for Wimmer to stay at the club as I rate him highly.

Can see sissoko leaving but only on loan, no one is stupid enough to actually buy him apart from us.

Love a good Goat curry. I think it's rather well known that Sissoko is aiming for a move within the PL, so no surprises there. More surprised that Pochettino rates Wimmer, he had a funny way of showing it last season.

Was there not ITK earlier that Wimmer is/was going to be gone for 21m? I just think certain blocks elsewhere also have to be put in place. All a matter of who blinks first. It's an overall big puzzle.

It sounds like Sissoko might be around for a while then. I can't see many premier league teams being interested enough to pay his transfer fee and wages.

I have a feeling that Walkers transfer was something to do with his long term fitness. It will be interesting to see how he gets on with two games a week at City.

Can understand Wimmers frustration, World Cup year and he's not gonna make the Austria first 11 sitting on our bench, and let's face face it, barring an injury to a Belgian I can't see him getting too much time on the pitch.
Shame really.

You just know that if we bin Wimmer then Vertonghen will get a long term injury in the opening game!! :shifty:

When he was injured last term Wimmer didnt play any way. Similarly when TA was injured Wimmer didnt play. For whatever reason Wimmer hardly had any game time last year. Those saying that we need to sell more players before we sign anyone need a health check up. We have 50m + in the bank plus Bentaleb and N'Jie money. Even if we don't spend it all we have significant funds to strengthen. If we were to sell Sissoko and Wimmer we would have close to if not exceeding £100m.

Would be interesting if it is a long term injury that meant we were quite happy to see walker off. Though since Poch came in he hasn't had a long term spell out. Doubt that is a coincidence.

With regard to sissoko.. West ham havnt started there usual pre season. 'We're signing a world class player' and end up with a two Bob has been that never was yet so I'm still full of hope
We can off load him for a silly price to them

Has there been news on exactly how much we get for Walker?
50? 55?
45+5?

Bentaleb I think was 17mil
Clinton was 6 mil

How much did we get for McGee? assuming 3 mil ..we looking at about a kitty of at least 71 mil

Lol do you know our chairman he wants a profit of 69m out of that there is zero chance of that sort of wedge being spent.

No, that's not it. Not at all, not even close.

But it's a pointless guessing game. It matters not what, it just matters that it's a positive sign that we're not considering selling any of our top players.

& yet the media still has us lining up replacements for Dier?

Our transfers have usually had a net spend of £0. That means we spend all the money we get from transfers (just maybe not in the same window).
