Left back --- shaw
Center back --- de vryi , voeltman
Center forwards --- Belgium striker !! And benzema !!!

Wingers --- vadillo n Ukraine lad

Sell Dawson . Rose . Naughton . Soldado . Adebayor . Lennon .

Just for starters n before we sort out center midfield lol .. That puts us back in contention imvho .... If we still have this Madrid link we should be making use of it
Be careful with wishlists in the itk thread... You may just feel the full wrath of A&C

This is starting to reek a bit. I wonder if it's more agent driven than THFC driven.

Definitely. I kind of feel that, despite the itk buzz, that he's not that high on our list and he's making a play.

It might work for him. But I feel that even with van Gaal most likely United bound, we are probably more interested in FDB. And a cut rate Moyes wouldn't suprise me from Levy. Anybody who can can prosper with no money and fail with tons of it is probably Levy's version of porno.

But remember, my gut feelings are notoriously bad.

1. It seems there is no Google translate for your language
2. If I am interpreting what you are saying correctly, then I think you may have lost the plot.

Benzema and Shaw :ROFLMAO:

Oops sorry should I delete -- shaw is my number 1 signing - like another poster said that's a position sorted for another 5 or 6 years at least . It's a no brainer and would play first team without question .. With his old manager coming in it should be shaw over lallana for me

Okay, looks like a few things need dispelling...

For those saying we should sign Lukaku, you realize he is contracted to Chelsea, not Everton, right? Meaning no chance in hell that's happening.

Barnett and Levy HAD a close relationship. Then the Bale saga happened. Pretty sure we had ITK saying that relationship is severed.

Also, the player being referred to by Trix is probably not Shaw. He's all United or Chelsea.

No it really hasn`t.

Don't think Shaw would leave to come to us. Can't blame him

My thinking is selling soldado for the 20 quoted and using link with Madrid in somewAy to get at least one top player from them ... Shaw is a no brainer for me ... United might be keen but if we have poch in then it could well swing it if levy shows some ambition and with a lot of shit in squad to sell money can be gained back -- I'm just thinking 3 top players in plus few potential young ones

I agree lallana fits the bill, but so do a number of players, yet some people seem adamant it must be lallana. If we're going by players linked with a move from saints, it could be one of lallana, shaw, schneiderlin, Rodriguez, clyne etc. even then it could be about a player looking to move that the papers haven't got wind of yet, but poch wants to bring with, or like I said it could just be regarding a contract extension at saints so it could even be a youth player like chambers or ward-Prowse.

The itk is focused on the agent being sure that poch is coming in, yet people are focusing on who the player is and how they'll be coming here. I mean the not signing may not have anything to do with us, it may be courtesy by Poch! Like if a player would be happy to stay at saints only if Poch was staying, he is just giving them fair warning before committing to a contract.

It's all speculation anyway, my friend. Football forum rhetoric will always be exaggerated.

He is not going to sever relationships with people like this. You know how stupid that would be? He would know how likely it is that he will have to deal with these people again, especially after that agency is representing players for us still.

And Barnett said in the interview with Sky Sports that the chairman kept his word over Bale and he was grateful for that.

Personally, i think Levy was happy to let Barnett appear to be the villain in the whole thing...the move happened because of Bale....no one else.

Levy's statement about the squad and his point about young players coming through sounds to me like there will be little or no investment in the squad this summer and the manager will be there to bring on and develop the players already there

I think ideas of spending 20m here and there or buying Shaw are cloud cuckoo land tbh

This, plus despite how this season has gone I can't imagine DL being too disappointed at securing a world record fee. Also it was widely reported that Barnett was at King's testimonial in the directors box. Even as King's former agent would he really allow him in if there was bad blood. Could have shacked him up in a private box instead...

I'm sorry, you appear to have been duped by our 'partnership' in assuming we get anything out of it...
And I must say I wholeheartedly disagree with your assertion there's "a lot of shit in the squad". We have a very strong squad. Granted some areas are perceived weaknesses but by no means shit. Our fans have been spoiled by incredible stars in recent years and now have what I perceive as an unwarranted level of expectation of our bare minimum being stellar. If you showed this squad to a fan of 20, 15, even 10 years ago they'd tell you just how lucky we really are!

We'd never pay for Shaw, however under FFP player fees will be looked at a bit differently. Shaw will no doubt sign a very long contact, say 6 years, and the fee will be written off over that period. So £4.5m a season. That's peanuts to Man Utd, although probably too much for Spurs.

What about his stadium update which contained the phrase "strengthening key positions"

I struggle to see us getting either Lallana or Shaw regardless of whether Pochs come in or not. In the current market I'd expect all teams in the top 5/6 to be competing for 1 or both. There will always be stories when managers come from another club. AVB was Hulk and Moutinho...

Lallana and Shaw will move this summer but neither will come to Spurs. Too good and too expensive. Even if the ITK is true all it is saying is that Poch wants the player to get an offer from Spurs before he makes his decision. That is a long way from signing with us. Lallana should and would chose Liverpool over us as, despite potentially having his fave manager, Liverpool are a title challenging team with one of the highest regarded coaches in the league. Shaw could have offers from Spurs, Chelsea and Utd (and no doubt City) does anyone think the lure of Poch will keep him from the money and winning oportunites at all the clubs bar us? Of course not, he will go where he thinks he will win. We are a top end of the middle club (or bottom of the top 7) and we will not trump any team in the top 7 to players who have already made their mark in the Prem. not this season. We have to look for the second level of player or take a punt on a rising star type player from the bottom of the prem/championship. Or go abroad but we cannot afford too many more non homegrown.

We finished 6th and you reckon we can't trump Everton if we want the same player ? We can't out bid CL clubs for particular players but we can still buy great players. Eriksen, Vertonghen, Sandro, Kaboul, Lloris to name five.

He whored Bale out and started everything with Madrid for one last payday right when Perez and Zidane started their public tapping up. Levy was fucking fuming over it. Barnett can say all he wants. Doesnt change the fact that Levy was pissed and probably still harbors resentment. Levy was used by his so called friend.

OK Everton i'll give you but finishing above Utd once does not make us better than them and they will be back sooner or later and are still, even now, a bigger draw for players like Shaw than we are (hence saying 7 rather than 6th). As for the other players you mentioned, I agree we have signed some great quality from overseas but, as i said in my comment you quoted, buying established/performing prem players is not really an option unless we look at second tier in terms of quality. I did comment on going abroad but i fear we are running high on EU players and need to be careful as talk is already going on within the FA to reduce the number of non-homegrown players in each squad and we'd be foolish as to not address this potential issue sooner rather than later. Otherwise whilst we join the likes of City and Chelsea in trying to purge our squads the Arsenal and Liverpools of this world will be leaping forward and we will be years behind in terms of homegrown talent.
