The itks are talking shit, so many crossed rumours. We won't k.ow anything until the club announces it.

Well, that's one way to lose your access to the forum.

Has it only just dawned on you that ITKs regularly contradict one another, which means some of them must be completely wrong? However, as most of them are posting what they hear and aren't making up total bollocks just to wind us up, there's no need to abuse them. They can't answer back, especially if they don't post on SC.

What has ackie said about today, BBLG?

Also morning peeps and peepettes... Also, sorry Mods if this is the wrong place to ask but does anyone know why Roger Morgan has said Luka will try to avoid playing Thursday yet??

Where did you see that?

We were discussing yesterday the fact that Modric playing against Hearts would cup tie him for ALL European comps, including CL. He could probably forget about a bid from Chelski then.

Gio, Hutton and Bentley are the 3 complete waste of spaces we have left. I wonder whether anyone would bid 10m for Bentley and Hutton in a double deal and whether Levy will accept?

To be fair there seems to me more contradictory ITK this window than others and definitely more infighting. Maybe the ITK's are joining the fans and the management in frustration of our lack of signings. We are all I'm the same boat!!!!! I still believe that the adebayor ITK will prove to be spot on, and I'm hopeful about Diarra but get less convinced by the day, and I'm sure that we will sign a defender and think it's most likely to be Cahill or a surprise move for someone like shawcross (not saying I want him but I think we will want English).

Anyway let's see what happens today with salt at the ready

I thought that is what was being insinuated, from my very quick glance at the conversation. If that is wide of the mark, my apologises.

Bit of a sudden u-turn from you, ain't it?

Why the sudden new found optimism?

My confidence did shake recently but its kinda came back, look at the Keane deal for instance, nobody picked up on it at all apart from some guy on twitter on saturday night or was it sunday? and he was gone by Monday. The fact it came so out of the blue is a good thing, and I still think like i've been saying all along we will sign someone we haven't had big links or any links with. Just my opinion

I think that was more to do with the fact that Monday was the MLS deadline

No need for that. I can't remember how the conversation went - my only contribution was to clarify the rules. From my recollection, it was speculation about how 'Arry might play it, IF he had gone soft on keeping Modric, and wanted to keep the sale option open. I haven't seen anyone suggesting that Modric is getting proactive on this, though, and that's why I was interested by your comment.

If I remember correctly the daily mail ran an article about modric not playing on Thursday and someone linked it to something RM said a few days ago. Nothing too exciting

The contradiction of the ITK's just indicates that there is a hell of a lot being worked on and only Levy, maybe Eagles, are aware of the full picture.

Think there have been rumours about Keane to the MLS for the past year. Could be wrong.

Meh there is rumours about everything, I'm talking about the deal itself coming out of the blue.

It had been talked about afew days before, but bar that no ITK was talking about him going there before that i think, so i do agree, it did come out of no where a bit

There are rumours, and there is pure speculation. Keane has been at that age when a move to MLS, Japan or arab lands is likely to happen (failing a complete retirement). Up until very recently, it was pure speculation. Then one guy comes up with ITK and he's gone inside three days. Doubt if that was coincidence.

So far I think the window has gone quite well. We haven't done anything grotesquely stupid yet and i'm chuffed that we signed Coulibaly. The major disappointment so far for me is that QPR have hung on to Taraabt (oh and that Harry has backed Defoe :bang:). Hutton and Gio look like they've packed their bags so I think that striker we're all hoping for is only a matter of time.

To be honest Neville on Sky last night did actually talk some sense about hte transfer window..to paraphrase - "most teams are desperate to buy at the moment, but its stalemate, asking prices are too high"

We all know Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal cannot afford not to do some business, all 3 clubs have money..I think when it blows it will be manic trading for a bit. But I expect we will have to wait for another week..

Or first time sellers. Gio wants to go to Seville; Seville want to buy him; we want to sell him; but, Udinese have offered us more cash. So we delay. So Udinese and Seville delay. And all the clubs that want to sell to or buy from them delay. This costs us. Does it cost more than the difference between Udinese's bid and Seville's bid? I hope Danny has a clever spreadsheet that works these things out.

Comfortably Numb? more like Seriously Disillusioned!! How on earth do you think that Dos Santos sale will make such a big domino effect in the transfer market as to effect anyone we are buying? No sale this transfer window has had any real effect. Of course we look for the highest bidder otherwise we might as well give him away.
