Why hello there. Long time lurker, but thought I'd post some ITK which I thought was common knowledge but doesn't seem to have appeared anywhere in the press or on here.

A certain ex-Hammer by name and nature who used to be a Villain has been training with us this week. Bit underwhelming admittedly...

If you can't work that out, give up and go home. If it's already been posted and I've missed it - apologies!

does anyone know if he counts as homegrown as he was at villa from around 18 wasn't he?

Why not? VdV is here and seems like he is enjoying his time. If Diarra were to come and to an extent Ade, there would be plenty of friendly faces about the place...the lack of CL footy is a worry, but....no harm in dreaming (unless you are a sleep-walking rapist)

We would be well on our way to being Real Madrid B

I'm working and using my iPhone to check updates so a slight delay is reasonable my friend, I do try to keep up with the flow like the rest of you salmons but sometimes I have to do a few extra leaps to keep up... Anyway onwards and upwards to the breeding grounds...

Hitz is on a free...I'm sure HR decided to help him out by giving him a training session or 2 and take a sneaky "I wonder if he could do a job for us?" look too...

Weren't we looking at Hitzelsperger back in January before he went to Wet Sham?

I actually think he's a good player but as he's not homegrown or under 21 I don't see where we'd fit him in the squad at all. We'd have to get rid of JJ and Palacios and sign nobody else to bring him in, which would be a fairly large step down.

Hopefully he's just training with us to keep match fit whilst he finds another club.

For those who say he will want CL. He is not fully fit and I think London for a period of time will do him good for various reasons including faith and family. RM will still pay a big part of his huge wage if loaned. He has already played in Italy and Spain and was a Christian ambassador (witnessing to people about faith and family values) in those countries.
Do you think RM will prefer to loan him to rivals such as Man U/Arsenal who they may meet in QF or SM? We do have a good relationship with RM. Again this is not from THFC.
RM may keep him but if he doesn't play often for them expect a move in January.
And just to let you all know, I was the one who was told that Ronaldinho was being sounded out before anything picked on it and passed it on to Mods long time ago.

Afraid not! Although he could be there simply to keep up his fitness. He (Hitz) told me there's a chance he could join on a deal though...

Don't forget we have tried to sign him a couple of times in the past.

Does he offer us anything we haven't already got? NO
Are we trying to streamline the squad? YES
Do we still need to shift 4/5 players before we can bring a new one in? YES

So, based on all that, I would suggest that he's just training. But why with us?

If it's true, it makes no sense.

So I'll just apply a liberal sprinkling of salt and say that IMO the info is wrong.

It's not a bad idea. On a free, we've got a shedload of CMs injured or doubtful and a load of games to play in short order. If he helps us through the Europa tie and gets a handful of games between now an Jan, we'd probably be able to ship him out in the next transfer window for a couple of £M.

Can't see us offering him a contract in a million years was unfit most of last season and isn't better than Barton (Who is a Complete *****) who is free... Harry is probably just helping him out...

I agree. I said ages ago that I thought we would try to get Kaka in this window. I still don't think we'll get him, but it's good to hear how ambitious we can be.

Kaka will not happen but I'm happy with that, he is way past his best and it's not a priority position either with our current squad other areas need addressing more urgently

Well, as I said, I don't know the motivation behind it. It (the story) was supposed to go in the ES last night but got pulled due to lack of space.

He's definitely training with us, but whether he is going to sign is another issue entirely.

And plenty of players have trained with us or Arsenal as a favour from one fellow professional to another. You could say the same about Beckham, no?
