It wont be Kean, he has literally just renewed his contract. He is a local boy who will want to do things in Juventus.

Don't think he can sign a deal until he is 18 - in February. Couple sources (not the most reputable, 90min.com, SkyItalia) reporting terms have been agreed (so maybe he got his tractors) but cant put pen to paper yet,

As well as la gazzetta and TuttoSport. No source is really reliable in Italy, but I think a contract in principle is agreed, and see it as highly unlikely he would leave, yet alone to us!

To be fair when you have the likes of Dybala and Higuain ahead of you, at 17 years old you ain't starting just yet. Juventus as desperate to keep him as they know he has the potential to be a star.

They can keep him, it's Dybala or nothing for me. Surely Levy can stump up the £110m to get him.....

I'm not saying it's him, fwiw I think it is more likely to be Berardi considering how long we've had interest in him and the amount of money we are likely to bring in this window - we are title challengers now, whilst we can't spend like some of the others, I still think we will spend. But just because terms are agreed doesn't mean anything these days until the ink is on the paper.

But the idea of us coming out of nowhere and signing one of the biggest talents in world football, without a bigger club sniffing around, is unlikely. Particularly considering he is a local boy which is already being integrated into the first team and

So still no to Mario Lemina?
I would say thats a pretty good guess (assuming we are still going with the Juve link). He wants to leave and isn't a first team choice. Cant say im a huge fan of his, but hes a decent enough player. Personally i would rather stick with Winks as second choice behind Moussa.

Rob's reaction does imply its not Berardi or a better known Italian based talent. Shame its not Anderson, that would have been a nice surprise. Although Rome is not in Northern Italy. But who knows which bits of ITK we should be following. Are we going with just an Italian based player, a player that plays in northern Italy, or a Juve player.

From the barraging of guessing games last night I think we narrowed it down to Keita or Berardi. But as Keita is likely off to Inter i'm still hedging by bets in Berardi

I wouldn't underestimate how attractive a proposition we are now, certainly to players of a young age. Im just saying, you can't discount him as a possibility just yet.

The problem is in italy right now there are so many 'little known' suberb talents that you could be picking out so many different players.

In Juve less so. The problem about Juve is its hard to see who it could be, because most the players are either wont come to us (Dybala etc) are not the right profile (All the olides) or are not actually that inspiring, or 'shock' as breezer put it. The only player who really you left with is Pjanic.

I get that, but he was born in Vercelli and he isn't like one of these talents which is not being played and stagnating. Like the only reason I could see him leave Juve is for money. We aren't gonna offer him more money than Juve.

It may be a bit of a reach to suggest that, I don't think many fans see Serie A teams outside of the odd CL/EL game, the likes of Suso, Berardi, Schick are probably not very visible to people that don't want Serie A on a semi-regular basis.

Now maybe I'm wrong and @Rob is all over Italian football but I'd imagine that's quite rare of the average English football fan considering the Serie A review show is supposedly getting cancelled due to lack of viewers...

I'm going to guess that the player is fairly young, is not an attacking player (because they can often struggle to deal with the Prem), and is either on the fringe of the squad of a big team, or is a player for a lesser known club (due to Rob not knowing who the player is and us not being able to attract the top players).

Furthermore, because YouTube videos of defenders can often be hard to get excited to (although if it is a CB, it'll be De Vrij), I'm gonna guess the player is a midfielder.

Thus, I conclude it is one of the following players: Marcelo Brozovic, Alfred Duncan, Assane Dioussé, Stefano Sensi, Ádám Nagy, Karol Linetty, Lucas Torreira, Godfred Donsah, Seko Fofana, Jakub Jankto, Mario Lemina, Stefano Sturaro, Matias Vecino, Marco Benassi.

Did you just do a search of Fifa players who are young and Italian?

Rob almost seems like a normal functioning adult with actual things to do, unlike some of us, so I don't think it's a given that he'll have heard of and seen anything of Berardi.
