Santini had a difficulty in grasping the language though, dont envisage the same problems with Blanc. I remember after playing Norwich Santini gave an interview and talked about their star performer Darren HUCKLEBERRY lol

He was being taught English by Pleaty, in fairness.

Deschamps as manager will help us get Remy and a host of other French players too. I think Deschamps may be heading our list! JJ's info sounds like there is someone above AVB and Blanc and the Journalist really does believe it's Deschamps. I'd personally love Deschamps, he has won virtually everything as a player in 2/3 countries. captained the world cup and euro champ winners. As manager gave Marseilles their first title for 18 years (had captained them then) and is very respected - a real winner!

Yes, but remember Affellay and Huntelaar last summer... I always take a massive dose of salt with that guy's info.

Farfan and I am pretty sure none of his info in regards to us has even come to pass

Not to see he is a WUM but to date anything he has suggested has either been wrong suggesting he's not quite in the loop and what he hears is not close to in house information or what he has heard has been more plan b or c and never been pursued

Either way there's plenty of reason to take salt with his information and its a little naive to use what he has said as evidence for what will happen in the near future

Every manager is a risk to some degree. AVB has only managed 3 clubs.

But his whole professional life has been built up to be a football manager. Blanc spent the first 35 years of his life as a player - not to say that takes anything away from either candidate - but they come from completely different backgrounds.

Plus AVB has been at Mourinho's side when he managed Porto, Chelsea and Inter.

Lets not forget Deschamps also signed Djimi Traore for Marseille - maybe part of the reason they faired so badly in ligue 1 last season lol

But overall yeah Deschamps does have a good record but id prefer Blanc or AVB out of the realistic targets. Another worry with Deschamps is that if he did well you can just see those chavvy ****s coming in and prising their ex midfielder away so he may not stay longterm - just a thought but id prefer one of the other 2. Cant make my mind up but im thinking it might be Blanc.

Nearly spat my coffee at this.

Sorry kd but that's Gold.
It's the sprout shites that get me, expecially around Christmas
really? So the way AVB went about his business and in first major break in a big league is worth a punt on?

people can blab on about the pro's and cons of wht , why he did it but fact is he should have been more clever and showed more intelligence in dealing with matters at chelsea. plus persoanlly cant stand the nonsense he comes out with with his long term project bullshit talk and jibbersih he speaks at match conferences pre and post match. i know every manager is similiar but he really does sprout shite.

way too much of a gamble. ill be shocked if levy appoints him but he fails to disapoint does levy .

oh yeah - I'd completely forgotten about that...

A trivial matter!

Don't worry, if it makes you feel better, I splurged £800 on AC Milan to win the UEFA Cup once on a whim - damn bloody odds calculator making me round it up to £5000 potential winnings! :(

Well I think we will do bloody well to get anyone to manage our club when we let top players like Ryan Nelsen slip throughour fingers cos we didn't tie him up on a long term contract. It is jut another example of the appaling malaise that has set in at our club. ;)
