So, Bale's off? What's with all those hearts he always shows us fans?
And Modric is Madrids main target?
Oh well, we will have plenty to spend on rebuilding the team this summer then!

Wow. I go out or a few hours and I come back to crazy town!

Gotta love transfer window!

Pottle's ITK is surely Remy. He tells it as a story. Harry flew out first class to have a meeting with a French player, it went rather well. Good day all round. Upgrade completed. Off to watch some football.

When he stays on the left and uses his freakish athleticism to attack FBs, he's devastating. You just can't defend that. His deliveries on his low crosses are a sight to behold. Hardly done that at all for months. When he did, against Wolves, it all looked so easy. Very simple stuff but so effective.

This roaming, arty-farty tippy tappy shit he's been trying, for whatever reason, is cack. Leave that kind of stuff to Modric and Rafa, Sweetpea. Get back out wide for the love of creation.

I genuinely think that Bale will flop at his next club. He's got great strength, pace, and shooting skills. However he lacks decision making, and I think his limited repertoise of tricks have been found out.

When you add in the fact that athleticism and pace will only last for so many years, he doesn't look like an idea investment. Talk of him being one of Europe's greats is a long way off.

Don't get me wrong. I'd love us to keep him as he's clearly talented - but I for one don't believe the hype. On his day he's exceptional...however those days are few and far between.

I'm afraid Bale could turn into the world beater we have seen the glimpses of if he ends up in another club. If a good manager (not "run around a bit" Harry) can guide and mould him he has the potential to be truly great.

Remy and KJH aren't really the same kind of player though... so I dont think KJH would be referred to as an upgrade on Remy.

to be honest, Harry probably views them the same...put them up top and let them run around a little ;)

He's certainly got bags of talent and potential. I've just got the feeling that he'll be one of those players that never lives up to his early promise.

Obviously I hope I'm wrong if he stays for another season - which I think he will.

I actually think he'd flourish under Fergie. Discipline and progress.

I agree except for the first two words of your post.

Look it would be crap to lose Bale this season, no matter the money I want Bale to stay. However, when the lad does move onto his next club (as long as it is not in England) I hope he turns into the best player in the world. It would be a major advert for us if we could shape a young player into one of the world's greatest - and he would have earned it because of the hard work and heart he has put into playing for our club.

Yes. He isn't a Messi, or even a Ronaldo. Few players are of course. He could be one of the best 5 players on the planet though. He's got great control and can finish. Can deliver excellent service to strikers and his physical abilities are as good, if not better, than anyone. He just needs to be directed.

I do think that he will quickly lose his lustre though. Unless he undergoes a remarkable transformations and education over the next 5 yrs, once his speed and strength goes, he'll be pretty much done at the very top level. He doesn't have the decision-making or the vision to adapt into another kind of player effectively. IMO.
