Can´t Harry just be Spurs and England manager? What does an England manager really do in between games? Plus, he could tell Gerrard and Rooney if they want to play for England they would have to play for Spurs.

Could this be the reason we havnt signed anyone, could Levy be holding out, not wanting to pay for Harrys players then have a new man in and find he didnt want them?

I would think Gallas would disprove that. Was he not joining us, I think I would have thought the same thing, though

Why would Chelsea buy Parker when they have Mikel, Essien, Lampard and this new guy in CM ?

Why would Anelka take a 50% drop in wages to join us ?

I think your source is pulling your leg mate. No offence.

Where did I say that?

you didn't. People have a nack of making wages up on the spot when they want to

It's not too far off the reported earnings though.

As far as anyone knows our wage limit is 65k a week, whilst Anelka's on at least 100k a week at Chelsea.

Say that the Harry info is true.....I wonder if the more relevant question isn't who would be the next manager, but who would be the next DoS. I think post-Harry, it returns.

Which, in Noodles' memorable put-down of Dan Ashcroft two years ago, is two-fifths of fuck all.

S?

Comolli was great for us, if we could've had him and a manager legitimately working side-by-side it would've worked.

I just don't understand the Parker to Chelsea thing. They have just spent nearly £20m on Ramieres who, though young, he a mix between Essien and Lampard (ie he can "bite" but also get forward). Why would Ancelotti spend another £8-10m on a 30+ player when they have just spent a load of a promising younster?

he would but was it Gallas who decided to leave or arsenal deciding he wasnt worth the wages etc?

If we was still such a big player for them he would surely have stayed and been the experienced head to the young defenders they have brought in.

Whinger won't give more than one year contracts to payers over thirty. They have lost better players than Gallas due to Whinger's intransignece. IMHO it is a serious flaw in their squad make-up.

I earn £3 million an hour:grin:

1) We don't have a wage limit. We have a strict policy preventing our outgoings (including wages), not massively exceeding our incomings;
2) Modric, for one, is on more than 65k - don't think anyone on here knows the exact figure but it is at least 70k, some suggestins make it 80k.

I largely agree with you on this, Brett, I have always made my feelings clear that he brought in some fantastic talent. But he exceeded his remit, IMHO (though Levy clearly allowed it), in the way he got involved in managerial hiring and firing. And the team was a bit unbalanced.

As for Jolegend's ITK...Jo, buddy, just how drunk were you:shrug:

i have met someone today who is very high up within chelsea and knows numerous people within the fa. i do not doubt this info one bit.

harry is gone...

It does not seem to have occurred to our man here that the person "high up at Chelsea" is enjoying winding up a Spurs supporter (and showing off at the same time).

finally, joe lewis has a huge investment in abu dhabi. it is all very political but he is is holding off on funding the clubs transfers as it will affect his business investments due to man city.

Tottenham isn't funded like that. Levy doesn't go ask Lewis to write a cheque whenever he wants to do a deal. THFC is a stand-alone enterprise that is majority-owned by ENIC, not bankrolled by ENIC or personally cash-flowed by Joe Lewis. Levy is the chairman of that enterprise, not Joe Lewis. When Levy wants to sign a footballer, he uses Tottenham's cash, capital and borrowing power, not ENIC's cash.

Whoever has been chattering away to jolegend is talking piffle.
