Is anyone else feeling like aside from Wimmer, nothing substantial will happen for the next two months? I'm going to be in Colorado this summer, going to the MLS All-Star game, and I will be shocked if we have more than two new signings by that time.

Things can obviously move very quickly but right now I'm more interested in how our youth players do at their summer tournaments and who we can sell than who we're going to bring in. I don't have any faith in the swiftness and decisiveness of our transfer "committee."

Is getting Schneiderlin the be all and end all of everything? I personally am not bothered either way as watching him twice against us this seasons, he did not stand out against our midfield which most of you argue are crap and want to dismantle
ofcourse its not the be all and end all of everything, but poch clearly rates him very highly and its about time we showed support in our managers by getting the players they want.

Yes but he'll be shiny and new if he comes to us :)

We've got a grand total of 2 CMs the head coach is willing to use. Thus, we need more CMs. There is one specific one who according to ITK is 1. choice. As such, we must go full steam ahead.

How can that be, wouldn't using the club as a venue mean revenue to Tottenham Plc not ENIC
They aren't using the club as a venue, they are using the stadium as a venue. All depends on how the ownership of the stadium is set up. There are lots of good reasons why ENIC would set the stadium up separate from the club. But, I don't know how it is organized under the ENIC umbrella - for Levy and Lewis it does not really matter where the profits come from...

For example, here is how Arsenal is set up:

per wiki:

Arsenal Holdings plc wholly owns twelve subsidiary companies, covering the group's activities. These include Arsenal Football Club plc (the football club itself), Arsenal (Emirates Stadium) Limited (which develops and owns Arsenal's Emirates Stadium), Arsenal Stadium Management Company (which manages the stadium on matchdays), and Arsenal Overseas Ltd (which manages retail operations). Other subsidiaries deal with property development on the site of Arsenal's former stadium at Highbury and the associated property holding and financing.[3]

I guess anyone who has an off day against us isn't worth a shit? No Chelsea player was outstanding against us at WHL this season so that's ruled out Hazard as well i guess.

Schneiderlin feels like the same old story for us. I'll hold out few hopes since we have the usual speculatory chatter around him but if Saints want huge wedge and he wants Champions League, it simply won't happen. Even though he would solve the biggest hole in the side.

Last season's signings deserve a stack more criticism that Baldini's 7 too, bunch of cheap backups, only Dier with long term promise.

So much work to do!

I am full of aplogies, please do not befriend me, i don't know how i am going to live with myself.

You are the one suggesting that MS a well known player being tracked by top four sides isn't good enough for Spurs because he hasn't played Messiesque in two games against Spurs? MS is by far a good an upgrade for us as Modic and VDV was. Only you and Stevie Wonder would fail to recognise that fact.

MS i think will be a big piece of the transfer jigsaw completed if Levy can go that extra bit further in order to secure his signature. Assuming that we don't lose anyone we do not wish to (Verts, Lloris for example) i'd be more than happy with MS and say Ings, Austin(or similar) to back up Harry come August.

Very little ever happens before August. Everyone will disappear on holiday for a month during June.

Only the free agents - Ings, Ayew, Kono, Cambiasso etc. - might do something sooner
