Fuck me how many people don't understand the meaning of the word no? He's been as plain as day yet some people persist in badgering him, reading what they want to see in every word (except the word no) what's the fucking matter with some of you?

I've heard of don't take no for an answer but on this occasion you really should. And if it changes JJ will say so, this is getting pathetic now. Every time I come into this thread some genius has asked again because the third full stop has two spaces after it and there's a comma missing.
You'll be surprised how many people think no means yes. I'd say that's the case in a whole bunch of prisons:cautious:

This feels like it backs up what I was trying to say. The fact that JJ doesnt want to comment anymore suggests things might have changed a bit.

He clearly knows why it wasn't looking likely at one stage but maybe that road block has now been moved....?

Just as an FYI, JJ gave this post a winner rating :)

Just trying to share the wealth.....this kinda info is important ya know.
No its actually gotten proper boring now. Please let it go. Pleeeeease…….No is no is no, right up until he says something different. He's more than capable of doing that without resorting to feeding the desperate with a hint via the ratings, swiping his index finger across his nose, tapping his elbows three times and tugging on his left earlobe.

As a reminder, Saints have a purchase clause of 6.8m for Toby. In order for Atletico to remove that, they have to compensate Saints 1.5m. Therefore, we have to beat any offer Saints made by 1.5m. Unless of course, we convince Toby to insist on THFC move.

It wouldn't be totally ilogical to suggest we are acting as a stalking horse for Atletico to get more from Saints. As someone has already suggested, we could then get Suarez for cheaper. Personally, I am not in favour of us doing things like this. We very likely will bid for someone at Saints in the future. Why burn bridges by getting involved in such things.

Mentioned this a while ago in the TA thread but I thought that Atletico had paid to remove that clause already?

Ah come on, it's all good. I'm not one of those people badgering him on twitter or on here for that matter but considering that I was speculating about a possible shift in the situation around TA, it seemed valid that he was effectively agreeing what i was suggesting.

I thought that was worth sharing on this occasion, especially cos I didn't have to ask him directly, which I have no intention of doing.

I've seen no reports either way but it's fair to assume his stock has risk beyond the 8m mark so stands to reason they'd remove the clause.

@JJetset said, in plain English: sorry but I'm not commenting anymore on this. if something's changed then I'm not aware.

Are you saying he's led us all down the garden path just so he can tip you the wink via a rating? :D

No, of course you aren't I know that but come onnnnnnn……….

At what point does what he actually says become valid?

If I was an ITK such as JJ, no doubt extremely bored at being asked the same question 50 billion times a day by the usual desperately needy transfer addicts that surface at this time of year, my patience would probably snap and I'd cause a bit of chaos and confusion... A few suspect ratings of certain posts would be a good way to start such a campaign... :sneaky:

Not saying he is, but I wouldn't blame him if he did ;)

When an ITK says "I don't know" how is that interpreted as ITK?
You could always ban Twitter, you know you want to :)

That's why I like to berate him with unique questions. Like "what specifically is the difference between a hyena and an African wild dog, JJ".

To which he usually responds, "how did you get in my house? And why are you naked? And why on earth did you bring a banjo?"

And to be fair "Hyenas are actually feline and not canine, you psychopath", because JJ is classy and will answer a question that won't endanger a deal.

We laugh. He gets a restraining order. The cops beat me severely. He moves. And the dance begins anew.
