I'd like to see some outs soon. I know the signings are the priority for pre-season and we have ages to flog the deadwood but it's a decent amount of budget locked up in players we're expecting to shift.
I agree but it's refreshing to not have to deal with the "sell before we sign" bollocks for a change.

Valencia Yid has been giddy all window. Lovely to see. Good job our business looks like being down by deadline day as i'm not sure he'd make it at this current pace!

Totally agree, lots of deadwood needs shifting. We have been so giddy with positive incomings I forgot about getting rid of others!

Possibility of Lenglet also being announced today.

Spence as I've blatantly hinted at is very close and I believe there was a breakthrough yesterday.

Would expect both to be with us for the start of next week.

Agreed. Seems plenty of interest in some but obviously there is a long way between interest and a deal. I wonder if those negotiating or just flat out not wanted will be left behind when we go to Korea?

Not wanted - Ndombele? Gio?

Talking to other clubs - Winks? Bergwijn?

Assume Gil, Rodon and Sarr will get loans so we'll be relaxed there and they'll tag along until deals are agreed.

The above is probably enough to cover the 4-6 coming in before then.

I can't see us leaving any marginal ones behind like Sanchez, Reggie, Emerson and Moura.

Who is making way for all these signings .... if my maths is on point that's 9 incoming and only gollini has gone... winks, Berg, lo celso, reggie, Emerson, ndombele, sanchez?, rodon?, gil?, maura? ... only missing a striker and that's a complete team outgoing... wow!!!

We had no backup striker before so makes sense!

Stuck £20 in the pot.

Thank you for 18 years' membership of this wonderful site, plus one year of lurking

Still my favourite moment was the April Fool post about Morientes signing a pre-contract agreement and everyone going nuts (2003, I think)

Yep would be nice to see a few being shifted on soon but I wonder if a big reason for the cash injection was so that we would be able to pay the money to make a significant amount of signings before pre-season so far less pressure on the speed of the outs this summer.

The ones who are not in the plans will have clearly been told with the horses head to leave and find a new club and with the cash injection we will probably be able to accept slightly under value deals if needed to make sure we move them on.

By my count we have a squad of 29 right now, not counting under 21s - Lo Celso, Winks, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Royal and/or Reguilon and Tanganga and/or Rodon have all been linked with moves away, so that's likely 6 leaving, possibly 8, although I'd be surprised if Rodon and Tanganga leave.

But if Lenglet, Spence and then another 2 or 3 more join... That will likely mean at least one more moving on above that list.

Oh, and donated a bit, too.

I wouldnt be surprised if after Lenglet and Spence things went quiet for a bit.
European clubs seem to have very little money and there may be players we passed on because of their expense who suddenly get offered at a discount. All onions of course
