Oh my god, so many signings.

So many choices for scapegoat of the year in the matchday thread.

The options will be endless.

Exciting times!

I'll donate, I just need to wait to see if Gvardiol signs first as I said I'd donate £50 if he does, if he doesn't, I'll donate!!

Yep would be nice to see a few being shifted on soon but I wonder if a big reason for the cash injection was so that we would be able to pay the money to make a significant amount of signings before pre-season so far less pressure on the speed of the outs this summer.

The ones who are not in the plans will have clearly been told with the horses head to leave and find a new club and with the cash injection we will probably be able to accept slightly under value deals if needed to make sure we move them on.
If January is anything to go by, I think a fair few of the outs will be done late in the window. Given we seemingly don't need to sell to buy there's no need to rush through deals. We can play the market a bit and see who offers the most or gets desperate.

Who is making way for all these signings .... if my maths is on point that's 9 incoming and only gollini has gone... winks, Berg, lo celso, reggie, Emerson, ndombele, sanchez?, rodon?, gil?, maura? ... only missing a striker and that's a complete team outgoing... wow!!!
I don’t think as many will go as come in as conte has talked about the small squad last season and wants greater depth. I’m not so worried about budgets and cash flow because we have levy at the helm. It’s literally his expertise and he will not put the club in a vulnerable position. This is a remarkable step the club is taking this summer and I hope it works and we finally see some steady success. Whilst I don’t see city type domination I feel that it puts us into the Chelsea domain of being regularly in for cups and every few years able to challenge for a tittle. If in 15 years we look back and see the returns Chelsea have had over the past 15 years or so it will have been a huge change in the fortunes of this club. Anyway I’m happy to see fun time Fridays replaced by Fab Fridays. Let the 10 day countdown commence….

Donation made. Thanks to everyone for making this a great site. Amazing ITK and so much positivity. In 12 odd years of stalking this site this is by far the best summer ever and we all deserve it! COYS

I'd like to see some outs soon. I know the signings are the priority for pre-season and we have ages to flog the deadwood but it's a decent amount of budget locked up in players we're expecting to shift.
Said it in the pre-season thread. The squad is absolutely massive at the moment, with Lenglet and Spence in the squad also. 4/5 loan players coming back, 6 new players, no one confirmed to be leaving aside from Bergwijn.

I wouldnt be surprised if after Lenglet and Spence things went quiet for a bit.
European clubs seem to have very little money and there may be players we passed on because of their expense who suddenly get offered at a discount. All onions of course
Surely there will be no more in after those two until we've got at least 3-4 players out.

My apologies for living in a 3rd world country, with no electricity for 8 hours a day, hovering just above the poverty line.

£10 donated. I’ll have to eat grass this weekend, but atleast @Archibald&Crooks will be able to treat himself to a new plug.

Get to donating you naughty sausages

Agree with this. Once we close Spence and Lenglet that is the key positions wrapped up, from there we should lighten the squad. Then we can be opportunistic in the second half of the window and try to get that LCB+attacking player.

Would make sense to hold back some of our business. Give Conte a chance to look at Lenglet and Spence to see if he thinks they are up to it. That way we know which area to prioritise, if any.

Also if outgoings go well and we shift plenty on it might open other options down the line. A good deal for Moura could lead to another attacking option for example.

If Val’s prediction comes true, and we sign 2-3 after Spence and Lenglet, which positions would that be? LCB, AM and… what?
