No, I think a WUM would make it low to get more panties in a bind. If it were accepted it would be in the 40's I would imagine after the prices paid so far

I don't think Levy is willing to risk his good standing with his supporters for this comparatively paltry sum.

This next season will be the most important in our history as a football club and this is why:

1. In Modric, Bale, VDV, Sandro we have Champions League quality players currently playing Europa football, they will get the opportunity to play CL with other teams eventually and they will take it. We are in a very fortunate position to have players like this without currently being title contenders, it may not happen again for a longtime.

2. There's a good chance Harry will go at the end of the seaon to England. We will be looking for a top class manager to take over and keep the above players at the club happy. Im quite sure the manager we would be able to get if we are in the CL and the manager we would get if we are not are twovery different quality of manager.

3. Building a new stadium while we are playing in the top competitions making top dollar is much easier than if we are palying in mid table and may mean we dont need to sell players to fund the stadium. It will also mean the new stadium is full.

4. A lot of the top teams are rebuilding their teams and will need some time for these new players to adjust and build as a team (like Man City squad in 2009/10 season vs last season), once they are settled they will be difficult to catch.

In short we are at a crossroad, others can rightly point out that we were a the crossroad last summer and went the wrong way but I think we have one last chance to take this unique opportunity to break into the top of our league. To take it means taking a gamble and spending big and on few palyers not spreading the risk on many players which would be easier for Levy to swallow. Sometimes not gambling is riskier than gambling.

Is it? because it's really the first fucking cynical thing I've said all window.

What the fuck are you talking about?

I had a go at Harry during that week he went off, but I've been very neutral since.

Just because Brett left, don't think you're going to run me off. I won't be bullied by the likes of you.

Calm down, I'm not saying it is a bad thing but you have said a few things of the like. And it has nothing to do with neutrality, its just because you wrote two posts spinning a point into a negitive one since I have been reading this thread.

I actually rate you as a poster and it was not ment in a mean spirited way, it was just done in fustration.

I'm actually shocked to say this, but I can back up nayim99' info. My source tells me that we have accepted a bid from Chelsea, but it's for around 35m instead of 32. Modric is expected to have a medical when he returns from his honeymoon. I am really really sorry fellas...

Only joking. nayim99's a fucking WUM.

32 million bid accepted? Not a chance! Do you really think Levy would release a statement to the fans, write to chelsea to inform them that if they continue to try and unsettle Luka he is going to report them to the FA and then accept a bid of 32 million? No way....

I`m firmly in the Levy will sell at the right price camp (desperate to be proven wrong though) but 32m? Even I would find that very difficult to belierve.

Fully agree...we are so close but if we don't make at least top four this season we'll probably lose at least Bale and Modric next year. Then we're back to another transition season with a new manager and no champ's league to recruit top replacements, no matter how much we sell them for.

It's such an important season and we really need at least one top striker ready to bang them in for that tough start in August.
