Sounds more like Paratici has an addiction to telephone sex lines as he doesn't seem to have been doing any deals on all those calls he has been pictured making ;-)

If we keep Kane, the purchases of Romero and Adama + the other bits (Gil, Sarr etc) constitutes a pretty good window for me.

Hopefully this isn't a groundhog window. But it's starting to feel like it.

Fingers crossed.

Never change Tottenham, you beautiful transfer incompetents. We’re rubbish when we spending big money (Ndombele, Sanchez & Sissoko are our three biggest transfers) and we’re rubbish at getting targets over the line. And yet we were in the CL four years in a row.
I love this bloody club

it will be definitely better than I expected, though we still need more.

We have to remember that the rebuild won't be done in one window. We're currently suffering from past mismanagement of the squad. Hopefully, over the next few windows, Fabio can sort this out.

Yeah a decent CM would ice it for me.

If this was football manager I'd be fining Sissoko, Winks, CCV all 2 weeks wages (for no reason) and putting them in the reserves, transfer listing them and offering them to clubs. I'd also be signing multiple world class players for £0 (£100 mil after 50 league appearances + £50mil after 20 international appearances) and going bankrupt in 2024.

Sadly we can't do any of that in reality

If we can add Aouar or another creative midfielder + the additions of Traore/Sarr that would be a fantastic window overall.

It's imperative we sign a CM though - I'd even argue it's our most important position to fill currently.

Romero, gollini, adama, Sarr and Gil would be a good window as long as we keep Kane. Tanganga has sorted out right back issue out. We have kept two clean sheets and we Havnt even played Romero in prem yet. Lloris is staying for at least another year. Let’s hope we can offload sissoko/Aurier and I feel that is a good window.

Or don't sell Ndombele which is the most simple and best solution...

I just don’t see us getting a CM without Sissoko or Ndomblele leaving. And tbf I have huge doubts either will leave.

If we can shed Sissoko and Ndombele then I could see us going for Aouar. He would be a smart addition and the kind of creative, passing midfielder that we need.

Not so much news on outgoings - suggestions that outward loans might be as far as we can go for a couple of them. That's really substandard stuff by Paratici. Liverpool are about to get 12M euros for Shaqiri. You'd have thought we could get something similar for 3-4 of ours. Our recruitment has been poor recently - not because we're not spending money, but because we're getting more wrong than right. I hope we can shift a few and not be in this position again next summer.

Understand what you’re saying and will agree with you if the situation is the same come 1st September.. but at this stage that’s like saying we didn’t get enough done in a day at 3pm when we close at 6pm

I struggle to believe with the way things are turning out, that Levy is not involved in all of our transfer activity.
Or perhaps transfer activity is less straightforward than you think and the club's constraints (finances, squad size, desirability to prospective players while not in CL etc.) are still present irrespective of who is in charge of our transfer activity.

Man City (about as rich and competitive as a club can be) have so far failed to recruit the one player they most need - a quality CF to replace Aguero.
Their only signing of note is Grealish, who they massively overpaid for and didn't really need. Any other club would have needed to offload a couple of decent players (Sterling/Foden/Silva/Jesus) before getting the deal over the line - as we're currently trying to do for several areas that we want to improve.

ITK has consistently suggested the back-end of the window would be busy, with lots of potential deals in the works that are all dependent on outgoings. We also shouldn't underestimate the magnitude of the Kane saga - whether he stays or goes it has a huge impact, so is almost certainly what most of the discussion around Levy's competency will be based upon for at least the next couple of years.

This window doesn't seem any different to others in recent years, infact worse.
So far, we have avoided selling any key players without replacing them, have sold four players who we wanted to move on, plus have added three decent signings and reintegrated two young prospects returned from loan. That makes it far better than at least two of the previous six windows. If the window closed without any further activity I would rank it 2nd of the seven windows over the past three years (last summer being 1st, January 2019 7th and summer 2018 6th). That's not to say I think it has been a great window, but it has been less bad than most others.
