Info:
Calm down.

The Chairman has his preferred choice, we will definitely have a two tier set up (DOF) or whatever you would like to call it and the Manager.

Remember ITK is only as good as the person who gave it to us, all i hear is that there are three candidates for the Manager role and as I have always said AVB is the most likely but not our number 1 choice.

Jurgens name only mentioned as part time dof role to me.

Please stop filling this thread with absolute nonsense. Its not funny. Its irritating.
Couldn't disagree more, but didn't want to 'neg' you for your opinion. It's about as on-topic as most of the posts on here today as well as being fucking hilarious.

I don't understand how people can say Modric should be going for more money, 31m is a good deal to Real Madrid if that is the amount. He's a good player and will do well in the Spanish league but comparing his price to over inflated average English players is complete crap. English teams will always pay a premium on players if going from club to club in the premier league. Considering Fibreglass went for 25m and scores a hell of a lot more goals than Modric does I think that amount is about right and I'd prefer real madrid than any English team. There are plenty of Modric type players out there to buy cheaper.

For those hating on moutinho, he just had an excellent excellent cross that ronaldo scored off of

Oh good, I had avoided the score all day and was looking forward to watching that on DVR tonight. If you could just PM me with the final score, I could by-pass enjoying the KO rounds and spend the night doing things that are much more entertaining than football such as shaving my balls with a four year old razor and tea-bagging a bowl of rubbing alcohol.

Shame. We can't possibly buy anyone close to as good as Modric. Irreplaceable player if ever there was one. Resigned to him going but still doesn't mean I'm not gutted. Such a pleasure to watch him play. If he hadn't acted like an idiot last summer he'd no doubt be my favourite Spurs player ever.

Couldn't agree more. Luka's technical ability is second to none and his ability to receive the ball in the tightest of spaces and come out with it is often beyond belief. He has been an absolute pleasure to watch and like you said, almost irrplaceable even with a silly amount of money.

I'm fine with Modric going to Madrid, I'd like to think that we've already listed suitable replacements if so and I'm intruiged to know who because they won't be easy boots to fill.

It certainly wouldn't be easy to replace a player like Modric - someone who dictates the tempo, keeps possession and have such an influence on all we do. You only have to look at United to see how hard it is to replace someone like Scholes and how important that player is to how the whole team function.

Fact is we cannot possibly replace what Modric gives to us - not in the short term at least but we can only hope we manage to come through it and function as well, if not better as a team but be under no illusions this isn't an easy task.

If we sold Modric for £31m, add that to the £18m for Pav and Crouch and the £21m we'll get for Bassong, Kranjcar, Pienaar and Corluka and we've got £70m to spend.

Moutinho - £15m
Huntelaar - £17m
Ade - £13m (incl. signing fee)
Verts - £10m

Leaves us £15m spare for maybe a new GK and we're happy as larry. :)

I would imagine our list for Modric replacements would be as follows:

Sahin, Moutinho, Cabaye, Kovacic and ......Seedorf on a free
