Well POTL has come out with the pro-keane line. I can see value in both views.

Keane must be pissed off that JD gets picked ahead of him even when he is really fit or on form. JD was rushed back at the end of last season and was poor, and he's not firing at the moment. If the next in line is a kid that's one thing, but I can understand why Keane would be pissed that he didnt start on Tuesday. When JD did his groin it would only have made things worse. I thought Keane was a lot more effective on Tuesday than JD, and showed why we should keep him. He did looked mega peeved when Jordan was talking to him at half time.

However, where is he going to go? Who can afford the fee and the wages?

I think he can still do a job. He is the only striker who comes deep for the ball and changes a rigid 4-4-2 into something different.

I guess if he is still 'injured' on wednesday it may answer a few more questions.

What was that quote earlier regarding Keane from the official spokesman?

Isn't is almost word for word what POTL says?

Maybe he is the Spurs Spokesman?

I agree with the Keane being injured thing, I don't see how Redknapp would cut his nose off to spite his face with only one fit striker at Stoke, knowing how important a win was.

But.....I don't see how Wednesday night affects who we buy, if Fabiano is really on the cards, he can't play anyway in the CL can he?? And surely the likes of Keane and Pav would not want to leave if they knew we were in the Group stages?

I still find it odd that our (not very) injured vice-captain would take the day off and go to a very public venue when we have a Prem game. Maybe that happens all the time, but it does stick out to me. So if he's injured, then I think he's a bit on the outs on top of that.

How many seats are there on the team coach? With our large squad, and the dozens of backroom staff, maybe Keano didnt have a seat?

Just checked the 'spokesman' quote from page 12, it's not as word perfect as I thought with the latest info.

My opinion is POTL gets fed information from somebody with some authority in the Club as his information sometimes seems to me as if it would be a line from the Club.

However, he does try to give it as straight as he can, he doesn't exactly say Keane has been behaving like a saint!

For the last time, regardless of what sounds believable and what theory seems to match up with keane being at v festival and him seeming a little disinterested on tv before the yb game, he is injured and this is why he did not play against stoke. There really is nothing else to it. Remember an injury keeping you out of a fast paced premiership match does not mean you cannot walk around on a field.

If potl and the spokesperson quotes are right that he was in for treatment Saturday AM, that explains why he was not with the squad. I know we love a conspiracy theory on here, but if he's due at the lodge on Saturday morning, he wouldn't have travelled with the squad to a northern hotel on Friday pm.

Hopefully there'll be some new info tomorrow so we can move on from this!

According to POTL he had treatment in the morning; one assumes the coach would have left by the time the physio had finished with him.

Really, though, doesn't it just about sum up this window when we're reduced to discussing whether Keane might or might not have had a bust-up with Harry and Jordan on Wednesday?

All I know is POTL seems to always use the same wording as harry but before harry comes out to speak to the press. I remember "irons in the fire" and POTL also said gallas will finish off his medical the next morning and the next day harry came out and said the exact same thing

Idunnowhat to think?!

adiepf seems to be really genuine and behaving pretty much how I would if I had ITK.

But POTL does have a really reputable record, I meane his info I generally feel is the strongest.

Obviously I want to believe adiepf because I want Fabiano/Parker/Donkey Kong ie. anyone cos I cant take it anymore! I need signings! Like I am over the moon and excited about Gallas - but its a defender and its a 33yr old on a free...like I am getting carried away here lol

Has POTL ever used the word 'triffic'?

I think not.

so what is the injury exactly?

http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php has no record of it but i have no idea of how reliable it is. JD and Luka are on it though.

From the OS:
Jermain Defoe (groin), Roman Pavlyuchenko (ankle) and Robbie Keane (jarred knee) are all struggling.

That leaves Peter Crouch available up front for what is always one of the toughest away trips in the Barclays Premier League at the Britannia Stadium.

Giovani (hamstring) and Luka Modric (groin) are also doubtful after Tuesday night's Champions League play-off first leg encounter at Young Boys in Switzerland took its toll.

Boss Harry told his media briefing on Friday: "We've picked up so many injuries in that one game, it's unbelievable really.

"Jermain, Robbie, Pavlyuchenko - all out. Giovani as well

Were any of the other injured players at the Stoke game out of interest?
