Interesting to see if we make a move for wickham today. I'd imagine That if we did, then it would suggest problems with the leandro deal.
Although as I was told earlier in the summer, it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility to sign two from leandro wickham and lukaku, if it looked as though we could bring in a lead striker also. We have to raise the profile of the club, would a Rossi do that? All I know is that we are gonna be bold and aggressive, given the opportunity to sell the club, Harry believes we could persuade anyone. We're a massive club in a great city.

There are players at the club who are actively seeking pastures new. I don't think we will have too much of a problem shifting them.

I think Levy has a surprise for us like he did with VDV.
We have a good relationship with Madrid and we may get someone from there but I think sooner or later Mourinho will want Bale.

You are probably right. I just remember the times when we signed Klinsmann out of the blue when we were a mid table club. Maybe I am deluded!

yeah that was before wages and money in premier league went really nuts imo. we have no chance. only glimmer we might have is fact he is with puma so might be some sort of deal there but i doubt it..all about money with these players.

i want benzema and lukaka! although higuain wud be ok too haha as would marcelo!

If you think about it Chelsea are most likely to sign Falkao leaving them with Torres, Drogba, Falcao, Anelka, Kalou and Sturridge.

I could see him moving at least two of those on, likely Anelka and Sturridge/Kalou. I reckon as soon as Chelsea make a signing we will end up with Anelka... If they also sign Lukaku I reckon we would be all over Drogba trying to bring him to the lane with Keane and possibly Defoe moving on...

We won't get Eto because of wages and Champions League, we won't get Rossi because of 'bigger' teams interest/no champions league, Adebayor was saying he wanted to move overseas last transfer window and the way we sing at him at the lane makes it even more unlikely... Even if we got close and someone offered him more money he would go...

Wouldn't be surprised if we are back in for Belamy..

Realistic speaking - i think Benzema But Arsenal might be a challenge. They also need some signings to appease the likes of Fabregas and specially Nasri.
I think Barcelona will allow negotiations for Villa.
We could end up with Lukaku and Drogba too...

I think its a given we are going to sign the lad from Brazil Damiao.
My first choice would be to sign Eto and Adebayor along with Damiao. and sell all our exisitng strikers, im sick of them.

i know u didn't mean us, but he was so good last season i don't think they will sell him after one season, not after what happened to them when they sold eto'o for ibrahimovic

Realistically, we could end up with any of the following:
Adebayor, Leandro, Benzema, Drogba, Odemwingie
OR
Hopefully/possibly
Lukaku, Wickham, Huguain, Rossi, Aguero, Berbatov

The names being thrown about on here today are pretty unrealistic IMO. I can see us taking one of the Chelsea strikers if/when they sign Falcao. For me, the one player I'd love us to go for and is still a realistic signing would be Llorente.
