Get Lamela in and if we still want a playmaker. We can get Adam Ljajic for 10mill which is a bargain.

Post of the day so far.

Apparently Ljajic has big meeting this afternoon about new contract according to the Italian journo so we will need to get in quick! Anyone know where Ljajic's thread went?

I'd think there are three clubs where that argument is relevant:
Spurs - playing with Sandro and Paulinho to create an understanding
Barcelona - playing with Neymar and Alves

And

Chelsea - playing with Oscar...

And Ramirez :)

I'm loving the flickers of hope that Ozil is available. Some people will grasp at anything and then believe fiercely. I'm sure we'll soon have pages of posts jizzing over Ozil.

I just want Lamela & a CB like Vlad. Any others are pure cream

Unfortunately we dont possess a player like Willian, and with that being said someone who will really get the best out of Soldado. He is the missing link in our squad (or a player with similar attributes) rather than Lamela who is undoubtedly a fantastic talent.

Or am I getting confused with hazard which was a year later?

I'm so so so sorry if I am.

I think Siggy centrally is more effective than when he is out wide. Lamela has played in the hole behind the ST. Holtby can play there as well as Chadli. While none might be as amazing as William at stepovers they can all do the job. We are hardly short of the old second striker or CAM role.

Lamela & William would be great, but of the 2, I'd pick the more versatile Lamela every day.

Got smashed last night & I mean smashed, get to work 45 minutes late, give boss some bullshit about toothache, make an imaginary dentist appointment so I can go greasy spoon for breakfast & pub for a few liveners (I've decided it's a root canal that will need imediate work, gives me a good 2 hours out of office) Thought I'd have a quick look in here before "said dentist trip" & find 15 pages already!! What did I miss?

The whole 'paperwork is sent' line amuses me.

Sent where? Has it arrived? Is it sitting in a mailroom waiting to be sorted?
Did Levy use a second class stamp? Fax machines!? Did Willian bring his P45 in?
Sadly if parties involved haven't fulfilled all the criteria for a transfer or are acting like fuckwits then it's not done whether you're clutching a handful of documents or not.

"Paperwork is sent" means only one thing to me, and I'd have thought to anyone interested in football transfers. It means that signed contracts have been sent (usually still by fax apparently) to FIFA, The Premier League and the FA, so that the agreed transfer of the player's registration from selling club to buying club can be processed. The signatures need to be of authorised signatories of both clubs, and the player. Whether this has happened I don't know, but this is what the ITK is suggesting. If that is indeed the case then all the criteria for the transfer will have been fulfilled, and anyone acting like a fuckwit will have no effect.
So, as usual the question comes down as usual to taking the information with a pinch of salt.

im not sure if anyone else has mentioned this already... but why not go for Mata? Mourinho isnt playing him. He was sensational last year and is acclimatised to the league - and he is exactly what we need to link up with bobby soldier....

Lets not forget that AVB and Baldini have managed to convince Paulinho and Soldado to join, I doubt that those two were short of offers this summer, so lets believe they can do the same with William and Lamela.

Siggy is not the answer to our lack of creativity. Good player to have in the squad but no more than that i'm afraid

You're my new hero. I'm using toothache & dentist appointment next time!

We were in for both Mata and Hazard but we were never going to get either of them. Willian can be added to that list it would seem. On the bright side, we have been getting closer each time.
