Interestingly I found an old Italian article from May 2012 about how Sabbatini & Baldossini (Roma guys) were rumoured to have met Chiodi and a certain Andre Villas Boas.

Small world.

This is Chiriches though IMO as Chiodi and Becali (St. Bucharest main guy) are close although he obviously has Roma connections too. Theoretically, the only reason we even know about Chiriches is Baldini, so the jigsaw fits together quite logically.

Gotta remember that Roma connections are more likely to represent Baldini's world rather than purely Lamela.

I didn't think it rang true at the time and I'm sure it doesn't know given he's starting in the hole for the u21s in a 4-2-3-1. Still think he could be the answer in terms of creativity.

I agree he is much more a 10 than a 6, perhaps he was referring to his dress size

Agents represent several players and players have several agents. My hunch is that this Chiodo and his agency are a go to guy, consigliere if you well, for Don Franco to get transfers done, hence the Roma links. This may well tie in with the info about Lamela and one other being imminent, and that one other being Chiriches. Get those two in, and either a left back to compete with Rose or keep Benoit, and we're done as far as I'm concerned and regardless of whether monkey boy stays or goes, I'll have very high hopes for the season ahead.
